I wonder if anyone has experienced the age thing. In 24 hours. I went from "it's ok being your age " (I was 60 then) to being 61 as it was my birthday.

Being told I was to old. The one that really got me was. I was past it. Wow 24 hours can really change how people see you. Am sure am not the only one.......what's your experience???

I struggle at 42 with people looking for 30 something once I hit 40 meets disappeared since, best I can get from fab are one liner chats from people not even looking to meet me.

Good luck.

near Glasgow

Happens at intervals, 30, 40, 50....

It is of course down to peoples preferences and on some ways mental barriers that we attach to numbers.

As you say why would a day make a difference you are still the same person, but thats life.

Don’t let it bother you. Some people can be rude. It’s maybe just their age preference. But no need to be rude though. Good luck in your search

Some people just have age restrictions to reduce the amount of messages they get.

Some people will just look for those ages.

Some people don't even have there real age on here just to get passed the message age range filters.

62 and still out there enjoying the scene, personally i find that once people get to know you age becomes irrelevant.

In the west.

Turning 30 was a horrible feeling. Since birthdays with a 0 haven't bothered me and another is coming towards me like an F1 car on the home straight.

Your right they should change as they get older to. But let's face it we all feel younger than we actually are. I find people on here are much younger at hart and more friendly. Maybe we should start to think more about the age we put up on profiles.

Folk can be judgemental about age.Maybe there should be a section for age groups too same as we have areas etc.

This time next week I will be a year older. Doesn't really bother me now to be honest. Nothing we can do so best just to embrace each birthday as it comes with a smile.

When I turned 40 that was it, no messages, no fabs and definitely no meets!

Surely that’s not it……..is it?

I’ve just moved up a year as well … unfortunately it’s also resulted in me moving up a DECADE as far as ‘filters’ are concerned

And turns out a LOT of ladies/couples have filters set at “less than or = 50”

Go to socials and meet people. That way they are less hung up about age. Think of it as an additional filter. Only people who really want to meet you will message.

When I turned 50 and my inbox really slowed down. Now at almost 55 I’m lucky if I get a handful of new emails a week.
