Anyone been to or organised a mini social? A meet where maybe 4 or 5 couples get together for a social in a bar. No charges, no tickets just meeting up in a bar for some drinks and seeing how everyone gets along. Pretty informal but maybe a good way to meet new people without going to a club or waiting for one of the large socials.

Pre club socials happen a lot, some regularly & some on a larger scale. It is a good way to meet if you are nervous about going in for the 1st time.

Meant just a mini social as in the whole night is just a social with no trip to a club. Haven’t seen anything like this advertised in forums but maybe missed it. |

That's what I said yes to. I have organised & attended both.

If you advertise this on the forms you may get 20 people replying wanting to attend then the small intimate social is no longer …. probably worth picking who you want to attend and asking them

Yeah, but then only four of those will actually turn up. So it’s crazy but it just might work!"
Yes we’d expect a 50% turnout or less as people always pull out of things. More so on Fab . |

We went to that one and as a result made some very good friends we had never met before... a fantastic night. |
