It’s all about family i suppose but I don’t have any, wife left me on Christmas Eve last year so last year was shit, trying to get a sparkle back into it this year, it’s a shit time of year for some who get the whole “ I’m so happy look at me with my wife and kids and our Christmas tree” shoved in their face especially when it’s all someone might want and can’t have it, so alcohol here I come |

I think we realise for some Christmas is not a great time of year for many different reasons & I know for some this year is especially going to be difficult for many who are suffering financially however for those that do enjoy it and love that special time spent with family they shouldn’t be made to feel guilty for it .
How you choose to spend your Christmas should be your choice .
I know I love it all !
The swapping of presents , the food & drinks & more importantly that special time spent with those we love the most .
As I mentioned in my earlier post this year is going to be extra special for my family and the excitements building as we build up to that day

"It means absolutely nothing to me. Unnecessary presents, pressure to enjoy it, being round people you don't want to be round. You get the drift x"
I used to feel this way, but I think k it's down to who your with and if it's a special time with them. For me it is as for most of the last 30yrs I've more or less worked at Xmas and I've now decided I want to make that a special time |

I’m spending it with my sister & niece & for the first time in years, am really looking forward to it. Having had a rough year, I’m grateful to them for having cared for & supported me & being able to spoil them at Christmas, is my way of giving something back. If it hadn’t been for their insistence that I join them, I’d have been on my own & would likely not have marked it in any way.
My thoughts go out to those, not as lucky as I am. |

I love Christmas. We were poor growing up, but always managed to enjoy Christmas day. For me, it's my wee family together having nice food, lots of laughs, and the pretty lights on the tree. I just love getting thoughtful presents for my loved ones too. I always feel immensely grateful to be with family in a warm house, with a good meal.
