We have the original one and we imported it from America ( via ebay ) and it has a 2 pin plug and we use a 3 pin adapter with no problems
I believe all the original ones will have a 2 pin plug on the end if it has a uk 3 pin plug then it`s a copy

It's NOT a travel adapter, it's a 240v to 110v power converter, if you use a travel adapter or a handy 2 pin orifice, like a shaver socket, there'll be a bang, some smoke and tears!
As far as insertion is concerned, it's going to depend on the size of the opening  , but I think it's more effective for external use!
