Today I leaned that the majority of household fire alarms use a radioactive isotope to detect the smoke.
They are totally safe as is. But if you ever wonder what’s inside and take it apart you risk exposing yourself to harmful radiation
Also when they die and you replace them, old ones are meant to be returned to the manufacturer for safe disposal.

After trying all morning to open an online account with either Scottish Power or OVO
I found out it’s easier just to phone the bar stewards and saw it the old fashioned way

I discovered this a few months ago (not an Audi) which was handy when I learned today I had left my car window down yesterday - saved me going out to close it  |

Learned that my blood pressure is ok and the medication is doing its job
Although i have been advised to get a bp monitor and check it myself on a regular basis just to be safe
Oh and that the blood they took was red, so good that was confirmed again just incase it changed through alcohol dilution |

Found out we had £1640 in old paper £20 and £50 notes stashed away. Got them changed in time a couple of weeks ago or so. I thought she only had a couple of hundred, anyone else has a wife that stashes money away? |

It was proven that the SNP MPs are deaf as well as incompetent when they couldn’t go off script when an answer isn’t what they expected and just blunder on regardless as they’ve got orders to follow. |

I learned today that I never learn. As In I don’t ever learn from my mistakes. Oh and that being ghosted hurts just as much no matter how many times it happens. And that … just because someone lavishes you with gifts and expensive hotels and time and effort … doesn’t mean you’re anything. Ugh feeling miserable.  |

I unfortunately checked stashes a little too late with £2k in old £50 notes in the safe. Bank will still exchange them but only a maximum of £300 every 2 years can be exchanged and they take ID and document the exchange so you can't just go back the next month |

I learnt on Friday that you need to take them to the issuing bank. Once they have gone out of circulation.
This is quite common on a death, people find money hidden away in old purses, books, and shoe boxes under beds. Its common practice with older generation. |
