There are plenty of Aberdonians around here, right? Help out a visitor please … where’s good for food and drink in the city centre these days? I’ve a few nights to kill this week and recommendations are so much better than Googling.

(I’m not arriving ‘til Monday so the social tonight isn’t an option, but I hope you all have fun …)

If you like Italian food could try Amarone, Rustico or Amore

Broughty Ferry

I was in Café Bohème on Windmill Brae a few months ago. Food was 1st class. Al Fresco on Bon-Accord Street is also good and I’ve heard very good things about Six by Nico on Union Street.

Thanks everyone, this gives me a good list to start from! I’ve been told to try Casc as well …

North-east Scotland

Namaste Delhi for Indian, Taste of Hong Kong for Chinese, Amore for Italian, Maggie’s Grill at Marischal Square for good burgers and soul food. For pubs, Casc is good, so is Under The Hammer, and The Grill is an institution and has the best whisky selection going.

That’s a really helpful list, thanks. Best pub I’ve found in Aberdeen so far has been Ninety-nine, so it’s about time I tried others …
