The benefit of being honest...

So a bit of a moan here...we're on so I can meet single guys (or guys with permission from their partner) for fun (with the odd exception, building up to a couple meet) We met a great single guy on here years ago and had some fun sessions since then, then the surprise when I get a message from his significant other unsurprisingly she was not happy!

Totally get and sympathise with the poor girl but we didn't need that hassle! Folk need to be honest on here! It has definately put us off or at least made us far more suspicious.

Anyone else had this?

There would have been no benefits for him if he'd been honest with you before meeting

Re honesty in general…as Jack said in “A Few Good Men”… “You Can’t Handle the Truth” … not meaning you OP. People in general say they want the truth but they often don’t handle it well. Not saying that excuses lies just an observation

He could had been honest upfront but then would you meet him?

He had taken his chance and it sadly it backfired.

In my opinion if everyone is upfront at the start, it saves hassle later on..

But each to their own and have their on reasons

As others have said it didn't benefit him to be honest, he got what he wanted and yeah it might be selfish but it worked.

It sucks you got dragged into it but he obviously thought the lie was worth the risk.

I have always been upfront that am married and is the first thing I say on my profile and to be honest don't think it does me any favours as seems to be turn off to most.

But just hanging in there that some happy to meet a married guy

Sorry to hear about your experience but there are some genuine single people on here - male and female.

It shouldn't really come as a surprise to anyone about a guy lying to get sex, it's only been happening since man first spoke. If he didn't lie he wouldn't have had sex.

I am upfront when chatting early on and 95% of the time it kills off any possible meets but the 5% of time folk are happy with it have led to fun times.

Folk are entitled to their view and if its a no then just wish them well and move on

The mobile phone. It’s always the phone these days.

I think from his perspective the benefit was not being honest … I don’t think we can ever trust strangers on a sex site to be entirely truthful x

That’s a refreshing viewpoint
