You've been once, so you've done the hard bit.
Once you're in, you'll find a friendly face, either someone you know or someone you spoke to last time.
Why not go to one of the pre-CJ's Socials that are normally arranged before them? A quick meet in a neutral environment might help calm your nerves first.

Don’t be overly focused on the fun view it more as a big social and if fun happens great but don’t expect it |
