Stuck in reasonably at school, ended up with a Master's degree etc - but so what? Most folks that I met at uni were pretentious gits (just my personal findings/opinion - possibly the socialist in me coming out) and most folks who did trades and started their own company earn more than me. Further ed can be over-rated |

Wasn't the most studious in my school years, did alright in my Standard Grades but ditched the Highers when I was 16 because I realised I couldn't just wing it anymore.
I now work with a mate who I went to school with who was really into studying, did very well in school, like so much, everything just comes down to your luck with jobs.
That said he probably stands a better chance of getting another job in the future. |

Hated school and left a few weeks before my 15th birthday and started work a few days after it.
Wouldnt have had a choice though as we were skint and in those days if you didnt work you didnt feckin eat.
Been fortunate enough to always have had good paying jobs. |

Left school at 16 through boredom. Hard work and bloody mindedness mixed with a little luck has served me well and i have a decent job with a great company. I am now working my way towards an advanced diploma and I don't regret a minute of it.

Judging by some of the spelling and grammar that is written by some people on the site, even if they learned basic literacy at school, it might have been better than nothing...... |
