Anyone else ever experience days when you are actively welcoming any excuse to leave work? Ideally a nice coffee and good chat but at this rate I'd take a fire evacuation!

Decided to take a long lunch and go for a head and beard trim. Looking fresh and now tempted to just go straight to the pub instead of back to the office |

My work avoidance and blatant skiving is now rampant. Every day at work. This morning I sat for two hours reading news articles and then photocopied a booklet for a friend which I then took the time to ringbind. I then went for my break. I think NOTHING of doing this kind of thing.
I actually think I have run my course and that I am of absolutely no use whatsoever to any employer and that I am basically unemployable... but I am also kind of unsackable.
I'm always looking for the 'early retirement trawl' signpost up ahead... is it the meritous who get to go early or do they chuck out the rubbish? I dont know and cant decide... Slacking, drifting, skiving, it's a fucking double-edged sword.
