Is anyone up for organising a social in the Highlands, maybe in Inverness? I know there was a couple who wanted to organise one but are not in a position to do so right now. I’m also not able to organise one at the mo due to work commitments, but is there someone who can take the lead on this? Would love to meet some like minded people. |

Posted a few times, nothing ever came of it. The Highlands is like a wee gossipy village, lots of talk of meets but never happens.
Let's say a date , Saturday 17 Sept. Its not a pay day weekend so should be quieter. Inverness Centre. Who's up for it and where? |

I would be interested also. I work on NC500 so if there was any more interest in a venue or function room to ourselves in a pub or hall to gather then I could suggest a few locations or options.
Gairloch
Poolewe
Ullapool
Lochinver
Achiltibuie (few miles from 500)
Above are all nice journeys and have good pubs/food/venues
Camping, or over night event option may gather more numbers or interest?
Personally I'd prefer to have a few drinks and not need to drive home or stick to juice
Happy to hear ideas and help if i can.
Few places in Inverness I could get free room in a hotel / restaurant/ bar, depending on numbers obviously |

Aviemore and regularly visit Glasgow |
It’s been posted as an idea lots. Don’t want folk to take this the wrong way but the threads usually turn into a bit of a sausage fest. There aren’t enough couples and ladies who would be willing to “out” themselves at a public event in the highlands unfortunately.

It’s sounds like a good idea but as others have said the balance of folk willing to attend has not been there. But doesn’t mean we should give up on the idea. I’m sure at some point there will be enough interest. |

West Highlands |
We would be up for a Highlands social, but our availability is limited due to family commitments… I’m guessing lots of others are the same.
Other areas have regular social events and would be great if we could too. They take time to become established though, lots of effort and patience required by the organiser! C |

A social was arranged in Elgin a short time ago and Inverness area people attended, You may find if one is arranged in Inverness or its proximity then Moray and Shire folk would be happy to attend. We would
