Tried champex but made me feel sick all the time and im with the smoking sensation from boots all they gave were patches and told me to come back next week |

Patches = nightmares
Nicotine chewing gum = ulcers
Nicotine inhalers = looking like a muppet.
champix = wanna throw yourself of the nearest bridge.
Tried all the above and and stopped for a year but 3 weeks after the champix started again, now i don't wanna rip the nearest smokers head off and grab there ciggie from them.
Might give it another bash soon though.  |

will power and the want to stop is the best really , i stopped for five years , didnt do the patches or any of the support groups just went cold turkey , mind u the kids sat at one side of the living room and me at the other . |

enquire at ur gps surgery cause im sure there are groups where you can go for chat with others who are trying to quit too

I tend to slip now as then and find myself smoking 1 or 2 a day, then there's days I manage just fine without.
Patches helped and I just ended up carrying a pen around as I had to do something wih my hands

I used the champix was off them in 5 wks and no had a fag since last fag was was 16th Dec 2007. As others have said he have to want to stop for yourself |
