"Don't have a budget really. Looking to enjoy myself so not looking for travel lodge so looking for good facilities. Pretty central is preferred. " Grand central and Citizen M is nice ..only problem with Citizen M is there isnt much room to hang clothes so if your traveling light it should be ok xxx |

Radisson, Malmaison and Blythswood are pretty central and well appointed.
Hilton and Crowne Plaza good but less central (still only a short taxi ride to town).
Millenium very central but a bit down at heel.
Jury's very central but a bit hen/stag weekendy.
Plenty of others. Deals to be had on late booking websites. |

"Fraser Suites are very spacious with sitting area and small kitchen. Large beds are a bonus too.
Don't do meals or have a bar but is in the Merchant City area of Glasgow.
Stayed a few times now "
There's no shortage of food and drink places in the Merchant City. |

The Hilton website says
"Guests staying in Executive rooms, Relaxation rooms and Suites have access to this private lounge in the Executive wing.
Find express check-in, complimentary continental breakfast and refreshments, PC access and shower room in a decor of black marble and cream, brown and turquoise tones."
How anyone could resist paying far over the odds for a coulour scheme like that defeats me.
Prices will depend on local circumstances.

It occured to me when I first noticed this thread that I haven't actually stayed overnight in an hotel in Glasgow for over 30 years.
Lots of day conferences and meetings but nothing longer. |

We have used a few hotels in the city centre for swing meets and have found some fabby apartments with no reception desk so we can have as many people come and go as we please

If you don't mind being a wee way out of Glasgow, there's the Alona Hotel by Motherwell and Strathclyde Country Park.
I used to stay there lots for business and uhhhhhh "business" as well lol.
Always seem to see lots of folk there looking very - shall we say, alert lol. And the ladies always look very well "presented".
Rooms are nice too |
