It could be a good idea to head west to the Lomond and Trossachs Park area. There are LOADS of brilliant places to camp there.
Keep in mind though, because of so many people taking the piss and not respecting the environment, there is a wee charge for a permit in that area which can be bought online. It's only a couple of quid.

"You should try up aberfeldy area next to the loch stunning place that's up past Perth "
Just tried there. All no overnight parking now. The big one has been bought and gets locked at night. Presently getting pumped in a nearby site - financially. Bloody extortionate. |

"Where would you recommend to go ideally close to Loch or river ?
Dundee Perth area ???"
Are you looking for somewhere that you can drive up and pitch, or are you happy to leave the car somewhere and walk in? |

I've been and camped on the dunes at tentsmuir a few times, really nice and quiet and can park over in Tayport and 10-15 min walk over |
