Maybe fab can put a description of body types like they do with the 'Interests' so all the body dysmorphic people can correctly identify their own bodies |

Watching embarrassing fat bodies right now. Dont know what curvy means but there are 25 stone men who are morbidly obese and 17 stone women the same ..gastric bands becoming the new diet.
So no idea what is curvy or average or slim but know what obese looks like..cheers Christian,Dawn and Pixie lol |

If you can kneel on your tits in the doggy position, have to lift a spare tyre to trim your bush naked or if you can slap fat and surf the waves then curvy ain't your body type. Facto-fuckin-mundo! |

So what is fabulous?, if I ever decided to meet without seeing pics first and girl told me she had a fabulous figure I would be really excited. If the body type descriptions on here are a sliding scale I feel I would be mightily led astray with the description of fabulous body |

Its all relative , we all find different things attractive , I am fat no two ways about it but how I choose to describe my body is more about how I feel about it. I have seen people who look like straight up n down shithouse doors say they are curvy , who am I to say they aint if thats how they want to describe themselves so be it.
The wonderful non judgemental world of fab strikes again . EACH TO THEIR OWN , if you dont like the way someone looks , walk on by , simples. |

It's defo about how each individual feels about their body, of course there will be people who say curvy when they shouldn't or slim when they aren't, athletic when they most definitely not!!
It doesn't matter how you describe yourself there will always be ppl who see you differently, there are men ( and woman) on here that see anything over a size 12 as fat!! So who are we to judge what 1 person thinks they are, live and let live I say!! Xx |

i raised a similar question not so long ago....the use of the word curvy appears to cover a wide spectrum of body shapes and sizes....possibisly the extra large people who describe themselves as curvy have vanity issues....just a theory so you'd need to ask them for the answers |

peoples' self-esteem, has and always will be knocked by one person or another, as regards body shapes- theres a childrens' ward, here in glasgow, who deal with kids with anorexia and bulimia, which is in part due to peer pressure and the effect of those teen mags, which dictate teens should be size 0 !!! |

Of course it's vanity but I don't think it's in a conceited way!! Some ppl just don't have the confidence to embrace what they have, I think ppl should accept that there all people prefer different shapes and sizes and there is someone on here for everyone and shouldn't be ashamed to say what they really are likewise what they prefer.
Men get lambasted for saying they only like skinny girls but the 1s that say they love BBW get praised. I have said it before each to there own concern yourself with your own life and don't judge others!! Xx |

Britain is now part of the obese epidemic so therefore everyone's idea of slim/average/curvy or fabulous has now changed to ffollow suit accordingly. Sad but true. So average now sits between size 12/14. So this puts curvy into a new perspective |

Dont think it's what size dress you are...think it's more about body shape than actual size
a size 14 on someone 5'2" will be different on someone who is 6'2"
curvy to me describes an hourglass figure similar to marylin monroe etc....but on here the definition is completely different to some
in fact in the post i did a couple of weeks ago i recieved 9 pm's from people of which 8 of those were "larger" ladies so it's obviously touching a raw nerve with some folks
i reckon the genuinely curvy people on here are getting a raw deal as i would imagine now that when you see a description of curvy you automatically think fatty |

Simple way to check out is to ask for pics - everyone has a different opinion and are attracted to different body shapes and some just don't care what body shape someone has if they have pretty eyes or a nice face or even just a fab personality
I would never try and mislead someone to my body size as I have found that there are enough people out there for everyone.

I suppose it is roughly the same as age. I have seen profiles with people in their mid 30s describing themselves as 'young' - I suppose to some they will appear young, but to a 20 yr old, they wouldn't! If they see themselves as young, then that is a similar thing to someone seeing themselves as curvy. The crucial difference is, of course, age has a finite number attached to it so accurate judgements can be made!
Of course, there are always the ones who are 30 on their profile, but really 40 on their birthday cake! Perhaps that is just how they see themselves.... |
