It would totally depend on how close you were and if the gold was handed down through generations.
If you were close it might be nice to keep and if its handed down through generations then its nice to keep it in the family

i know some people will think im being a twat,,,but im trying to raise funds for my mothers ash scattering at celtic park, was her dying wish...just want to give her a good send off,,,maybe a walk round the trophy room with her urn. im waiting response from the board. we got our parish priest to put a request in as hes a season ticket holder. |

You are giving your mum her dying wish and not doing it for youself so there should be no regrets about raising the money from something that would probably lay around the house.
