Hi all,

First time posting on the forum

We are going to be staying around Kinross area for a few days next week and have been organising a few social meets, just wanted to cast the net to say hello to any Fabbers in the area! We are hoping to be back around a few times over the summer so would be good to meet up with some of you lovely lot, we’re mainly looking to connect with other couples but we don’t exclude singles

Does anyone have any recommendations in the area?

Thank you x

There's tons to do in the area! You'll love it.

We love the glenfarg railway tunnels. Just Google it. We'll probably think of other stuff and post it too

Hope you have a fab stay x

There's the wee boat trip out to the island on Loch Leven.

The ruined castle where Mart Queen of Scots was held prisoner is on it.

That is the only thing that's on it though.

The Scottish gliding centre at portmoak offer flying experiences. It's pretty cheap and very different!

You can actually walk all the way around Loch Leven, it's a 13 mile trip.

Couple of coffee shops to stop at aswell

Thank you for the info! We’d hoped the castle would be open, love a wee castle visit but the boat trip also sounds lovely.

Haven’t been on a bike for years, but you know what they say

X

The castle is a ruin so it's always open but You need the boat to get there unless your a good swimmer

Falkland is a 20min straightforward drive from Kinross.

It's a lovely wee place with a lot of auld buildings and there's a Palace which is usually open to visitors.

The TV series Outlander done a lot of filming there.

Also on the road to Falkland there is a cafe/organic shop which seemingly has a lovely walk.

It's called The Pillors of Hercules

Amazing thank you! I had heard of Falkland Palace but didn’t realise it was so close. Wee trip sounds good, castles and palaces are always a good one x

Castle Campbell in Dollar is meant to be nice so I've heard, I've yet to visit it.

Dollar is only a 25 min drive from Kinross
