"Who was the other teams then who didn't wear Poppy's? "
St Johnston didn't wear poppy's either, lennon and the referee did though.
Its only in recent time's this has became custom.
For what its worth i don't think teams should feel they have to done a poppy on there work uniform it should be down to personal choice.
A sunderland player chose not to wear one while the rest of the team did and he got slaughtered in the media. |

"

Rod Stewart in a Rangers strip? I don't believe that for one second.
Rod is the most died in the wool Celtic and Scotland fan there could ever be, Never ever ever would Rod be seen dead in a Rangers strip. You could see it in his tears how much it meant to such a passionate man the other night,
I have seen some nonsense but this takes the biscuit.
I away to trawl google but I don't expect to find anything. |
Reply privately (thread closed by moderator) | |
It seems I may be wrong.
I googled "Rangers Rod Stewart" and ....
There are pictures of Rod in various Rangers strips from 1983 to 1989.
Seems that Rod has swapped sides since then.
He must be one mixed up guy.
A Englishman pretending to be a Scotsman NOW supporting a Scottish team who pretend to be Irish.
Stop the bus ..... I want off

There ARE pictures of Rod Stewart in a Rangers strip, although its well known he a 'die in the wool Celtic fan'...
Also well known hes a right tight fisted git... nowhere to be seen and wallet very tightly closed in 1994 when Celtic going to the wall. Thats how much Celtic meant to him...
Tears of joy my arse...made a right prick of himself....even said same himself. Wonder if he was greeting after dropping points against St Johnstone at weekend.
So it isn't nonsense.....and top of that...he's past it as a singer...ffs he's down to singing Chrismas Carols now.

The pic with Rod in the Rangers(now deceased) top Is from a charity game he played in. He had a Celtic top underneath it. Billy McNeil also played in the game, wearing the same top. There's also a pic of a certain 3rd division manager playing in the hoops for a charity game. |

This thread of slagging is just a big world football joke!!!!We(Scotland that is)must have the shittiest teams in the shittiest leagues in the history of the game!!Although the oldest football in the world was found in Stirling Castle!!!!Apparently they claim that Mary Queen of Scots played with it!!!!Still played by a bunch of girlies today!!!! |

"Funny...I'm sure I went to Ibrox Stadium on Saurday with another 48,400 RANGERS supporters using my RANGERS Season Ticket to get into the ground to watch The RANGERS...maybe I was just dillusional...or maybe dreaming ...think its more of a nightmare for Cetic supporters that a 3rd Division team still has the world record for trophies and is pulling in a damm sight more fans to watch their 3RD DIVISISON football than a SPL club who ARE now world beaters..(well until they lost points against the mighty St Johnstone " haha...the team you watched, inbetwen cannons getting fired and paras jumping about have won sweet feck all.no history nothing...and aint it great!!! jase |

There's a few ways of looking at it, like you quite rightly pointed out it was initially a post by the OP of congratulations. It has since manifested into something quite the opposite by what can only be described as sour grapes.
What I do find interesting though, it sheds light and makes things pretty clear who you wouldn't like to spend some of your free time with after reading one or two of the posts |
