The social side to swinging !!
Jump to: Newest in thread
When you joined here how many of you expected to be socialing with the people of Fab at drinks nites/lunches or socials ?
This was a surprise element of swinging to me and not something i thought id be doing when i joined, but i luv it so much and have made many friends from the social side of here both platonic and plamymates .
Do you like the social side of fab too? |

Never really have the time. I find it difficult to make long term plans, never knowing if I have to cancel at the last minute which I really hate doing. When I do manage it I find it a bit of a mixed bag to be honest. Jim |

We have been known to attend the odd social night. however that's about as far as it goes,to much back stabbing and bitching for my liking at socials events from a small minority, then they are nice to their faces etc. So nope not really into the social side. Rather be with real life friends, swinging is to enhance an already good sex life, not to take over it altogether. More to life than swinging.

It's been a while but we've attended a few social meets over the years. Sometimes just another couple or an organised one with a number of folks. It's so nice and relaxing being able to chat with others without having to watch what we're saying all the time. It's the best hobby we've ever had..! |

"No want to be standing there with no one to chat to when everybody know every one lol" the organiser would probably introduce u to a few folks n let the sociabilty start from there

The way things are, a lot of Scots are v suspicious of anyone that has recently joined. It's a long story and I was away for most of it, but I'm sure there will be someone fill you in. |

We both love the social side - to us swinging is having a laugh and a great time with like minded ppl so why not the social side too - just makes it better and the sex is just the extra that sometimes happens.
We run socials anyone who is nervous or first time we tell them to join our table as we always have few oldies there as well as new ones lol. Normally you would find either Davy or myself outside having a fag anyway lol
But yes people a lot more cautious now |

Been to a few of your socials Jacs and always had a great time as you know. I have been known to socialise with other fab friends too as it's not all just about the fun.
Made some really good friends in the year that I've been on and we've helped each other through good and bad times too. |

I've been to a fair few socials over the years, mostly when I was on another site. I've been to two from this site and got another 2 coming up. They're always a good way to meet lots of new people at once. |

most fundamental aspects |
I have a lot of people I consider good friends who I've met through socials.
Mostly it has been through another site but quite a few are on here too.
Apart from the extra caution and discretion required in light of recent press activity, the tricky bit is trying to explain to friends not involved with the scene how I know folk that I'm driving a hundred miles for a night out with. |
