It might be worth doing the BDSM online quiz together then compare your answers. That will give you a good indication of how high up her interests non-monogamy is. It will make it much easier to understand if she would be open to the conversation or not and might be a less risky/startling way of introducing the conversation.
That's how we got to this point. We did the quiz for a bit of fun and interest, both saw we scored highly on NM and so our journey began!

Or ask her if she has and fantasies that she would like to fulfill and start the conversation that way?
