Last night my son (11) wanted the dribbles(dreggs) out of my can of monster, standing there sooking an empty can, that took me back to me and my Dad's McEwans Export( Red Can) , then this morning he decided he wants porridge too, What has recently made you reflect?

My Mum passed away at home in October. It was the same home we grew up in from the age of 3 and before she passed we talked about our memories of growing up in that house, the smell of freshly baked jam tarts, Belgian biscuits and banana loaf that she'd make. Filling the Super Mousse tubs with diluting juice and freezing them for ice tubs in the summer. Brought back loads of happy memories you hadn't thought of in years.

I smelled a random smell today, reminded me of being little but I'm still trying to figure it out... I'm thinking it was probably a sweetie or something?

When at work today I passed a tree that had some sort of blossom growing on it and it was giving of a smell (can’t really describe it) but it made me think of the 1st girl I kissed.

The first girl you kissed smelled like a tree? What the fuck?

What was her name? Hazel?

"The blossom "

That's a funny name for a girl that smells like a tree. It's not usual that someone actually has "The" in their name. Other than the obvious ones. Winnie The Pooh. Kermit The Frog. Henry The 8th. Kelly The Hoor. To be fair her birth certificate didn't have "The Hoor" on it but it was a name that stuck from around the age of 15. Poor girl

There once was a girl that smelled like a tree

It took me back to when I was three

She said she loved me of which I was glad

But then she dumped me so now I'm on Fab

The only "As a child" thing I keep going back to and can't ever fully remember nor find, was a snack or light meal of some type, that came with a small pot of what I can only describe as stock, that you mixed into it.

Part of me thinks it might have been a Pot Noodle clone, but I can't find anything.

Last night I had my tea at my mother's house, the smell of burning from the kitchen made me laugh and reminded me of the auld days.

The weird thing was though that there was nothing burnt on my plate lol
