I think Rangers will go out but they have proven time and again this campaign that they can upset the odds.
Who knows about West Ham, seemingly they only have one central defender fit. |

I think as long as they give themselves a chance in the return at ibrox then they can do it. West ham im not sure of either, although I've a feeling the all British final might just be on. |

As a celtic supporter I can't see rangers beating leipzig over there so it's important that they give themselves every chance for the returning home game but with no striker its going to be tough, I don't really care about West ham so no point giving my thoughts but with rangers focusing on tonight's game it's taking their mind of Sundays Derby which should be their priority, lose that game and the leagues over..be interesting to see how it all pans out.. |

Hope rangers make it but there's no way rangers, West ham or frankfurt are top seeds in next years champions league, rb leipzig will win this tournament, they are a champions league team with a champions league set up. |

Would love to see an all British cup final.
I’m neither a Celtic or Rangers fan but I’d be supporting any Scottish team if they reached the final of such a competition. As long as they weren’t playing my team. |

Leipzig lost at the weekend but hoping that was because they had an under strength team out so they can keep their players for Thurs night.
So yes I'm supporting Leipzig while I wait for the Derby game on Thurs
Hoping West ham go thru though I like moyes |

As a Hibs fan ………. Ok you can stop laughing now. I hope Rangers get stuffed but I’m more interested in the West Ham game, I’d like to see a team like that go all the way as I know a few hammers supporters and they haven’t won anything in a long time. |

Unfortunate part of sport (especially football) is tribalism.
For some they love to see rivals lose as much as they love to see their own team win.
Even when winning sides from the same country boost the coefficient and benefit their teams as well.
Go figure. |

Being a rangers fan i understand the tribalism, but both old firm teams doing well in Europe boosts the co efficient. Rangers alone over the last few seasons have raised it considerably, to the extent we now have an automatic entry to the group stage. So as much as i don't like, cant like to see celtic win, lol, it would do our football the world of good. Cmon the rangers tonight, let's have more of the same |

Here's a thought for you,
It's a long shot i know, but if rangers win the cup in Seville
And get the champions League place for doing so, does that mean Hearts will get the champions League qualifier place that Rangers would have got if they finish 2nd? |

Completely agree! Back home we have rivalries but when a team is in europe they don’t wish the other teams in the league to fail at least not the people who love football for the sake of football and not those who are misfortune to all that is not my team. If they do well, more teams in the league get the opportunity to do European football (even without having to do pre qualifying matches) and gain more experience that way! It will make the Scotland team better overall too. But then I’m not Scottish and don’t have this ingrained rivalry which seems particularly potent when it’s Rangers vs Celtic. Hibs and Hearts too as far as I’ve gathered. |

Rivalry is one thing but it should go out of the window for the sake of the game getting stronger in Scotland.
On a lighter down here we have the 2 Glasgow teams, Killie & Ayr. Then there is Junior football, holy feck. |

The old administration died yes, and now we have a new one. The club isn't dead, it's very much alive. And they're still called rangers, still have an untouched honours list and are still followed by hundreds of thousands worldwide. I don't really care anyway, it's a good time to be a fan, and i don't really care what other fans think. We all know it's still rangers, if not then why the fuss. New rangers old rangers, they'll always be rangers. Lets enjoy the rivalry without nonsense. And Celtic changed administration when the man with the bunnet took over but they're still celtic. We need each other and roll on sunday, may the best team win, unless it's celtic. |

Ahhh the administration chestnut, by that i assume you mean the "holding company" myth... odd not one person from the fan on the street right through a compliant media and governing body can provide the name of this holding company when questioned, almost like it doesnt/didn't exist
Probably just as well you dont care what everyone else thinks, bacause everyone else knows its not the same club |

Oooft, stings us still being around eh. Never mind, my new team are doing well though eh. And tonight it said rangers at the top left of the screen funnily enough, and they're celebrating 150 year anniversary this year and no one official is saying otherwise. As far as i can tell it's only some other fans, and particularly ones who despise rangers who think as you do. Honestly, call us what you like, I'll just enjoy the football, bill shankly was wrong and it is only a game. I only wondered what others thought the outcomes of both games might be. Not here to argue |

So many statements that you say are absolute nonsense, where to even start? Just because you say rangers never died doesn't make it true, they died in 2012 end off or otherwise they would have had to have of paid the tax man, other companies who had invested in the club Inc the famous face painter but they didn't hence administration then liquidation.
Along with dying in 2012 so did the "old firm" brand its now just a glasgow Derby game, you only use the old firm tag to fit your own narratives and i don't care if the media say its still the old firm or not Celtic fc say otherwise. You can 1 part of something that doesn't exist.
Can I also add in the reason I don't like the rangers is the same reason I don't like the England football team every competition you enter into you've automatically going to win it, that what really piss*s ppl off so far in the last 11 years your only triumph has been the Scottish league in which by your own supporters admit that celtic where rank rotten that year.
As it stands today you can still win a treble but it can and probably will go tits up because of your own cockiness but hey ho your still the most successful club in the world eh? |

I couldn't care less mate officially it's still rangers, the football governing bodies still recognise them as such and acknowledge their record breaking achievements. That's the end of for me. Cling on to whatever you like, last season is on record as the 55th title, not the 1st. Lol. I can't get the ppl that hate the other team more than they love their owm. Quite sad really. |

Wow so much anger over a team that supposedly does not exist
It's only a game of football calm down ffs"
This. And i only asked for opinions on the semi finals, not once mentioned celtic. Oh the hate right enough. Im just making wine from the salty tears. Hahahaha |

"Being a rangers fan i understand the tribalism, but both old firm teams doing well in Europe boosts the co efficient. Rangers alone over the last few seasons have raised it considerably, to the extent we now have an automatic entry to the group stage. So as much as i don't like, cant like to see celtic win, lol, it would do our football the world of good. Cmon the rangers tonight, let's have more of the same
There is no old firm. Rangers died.
Hahaha, that old chestnut. Call us what you like if it makes you feel better.
He's right though. The basic proofs on companies house. And thats without diving deep into it.

Both will go out "
I agree, but rangers, or whatever you want to call them, for those that care have a slightly better chance of going through being at home. An early goal, with the way the atmosphere has been at ibrix you never know. |

It’s interesting on how we view we rate our national and domestic team. If rangers or Celtic get into the group stages of the Champions League we are told by the media that we should be happy that they have made it that far but to expect them to finish bottom of their league.
Rangers and the national team have proven over the last few years that they are no mugs in European football and and are no push overs.
Granted we are far from sitting at the top table but there will be other teams that the big guns would rather play |

Thats not actually true yet, previously having multiple teams competing has raised it considerably just now.
Rangers doing well hasn't taken effect yet. It will raise it considerably for the next few seasons.
Essentially it is far easier to raise the coefficient having multiple teams competing in one season.

Outstanding achievement by a Scottish club to reach a European Final and yet only one person who has intimated they ain't a Rangers fan has said something positive about that achievement
That says enough about other people's views...I would have to assume a lot are hurting tonight. Why???

People aren't hurting, perhaps they just remember what happened in Manchester 2008 and George Square last year. Rangers fans can make Scotland proud by behaving, not by destroying the place then claiming "nobody likes us and we don't care" |

The fans in Seville will be a problem, too many will get too d*unk in the sun, too many will get aggressive. It will happen i just hope it's a minority. Well done the team anyway, i felt we could win last night and feel we can win the final. Fingers crossed |

Ah the old "All as bad as each other" generalization. Easily disproven with arrest stats and recorded hate crimes against each denomination vs their % of population.
Will never get to the root cause of sectarianism in this country whilst trying to sit on the fence.
I actually think rangers did excellent, far better than 2008 which was shocking anti football. This was exciting attacking football, beating a respected team from a top league with a massive budget. Brilliant for Scottish football.
But some of the guff being spouted on here with nothing to back it up, deary me. |

Most of my friends support rangers so the whatsapp group chat is red hot on game night with joshing. They've been impressive, I dont think anyone can wholeheartedly deny that.
Play the final like they played in Dortmund they will lift the trophy. It is going to bring more money to Scottish football, should be easier to attract a better standard of player for teams in the league. I dont see a downside for the thinkers in the fan base of other teams to turn down the temperature of the tribalism for one evening. Dont have to actively support them, I'll enjoy the spectacle and hopefully reap the rewards of a Scottish team lifting a European trophy. |

Have you got all the stats for arrests from 2008? Rangers fans were bad but there were alot of hangers on from English fans just looking for trouble so your stats would be an interesting read |

The effort to blame the curse of religious bigotry on the existence of Catholic schools is a pathetic manifestation of the ongoing anti-Irishness, anti-Catholicism, that led to the creation of Catholic schools in Scotland in the first place.
Essentially by repeating the lie you are reminding everyone the complainant created the issue they are complaining about.
"Historically the attitude I'm displaying stopped catholic children getting an education in Glasgow, led to the creation of catholic schools in Glasgow, and now I'm not happy about there being catholic schools in Glasgow"
...Which makes you look very silly. Enjoy your weekend guys, good luck in the final |
