Why is there no club in Dundee?
It's a decent sized city, perfectly situated halfway between Aberdeen and Edinburgh, yet there's nothing here!
We can't always get to Aberdeen, it would be so much better if there was something local |

just wouldn't pay to be honest, often the clientele come from afar as they are petrified they get recognised locally
the bi/gay sauna in Dundee really struggles for the same reason |

Only a tiny minority of swinging happens in 'go to places'. Mostly it's about like-minded people arranging to meet others in cafes, bars, hotels etc and taking it from there.
Usually there's no money involved, no membership, admission fees or anything like that. |

Yes, I know. But I found the club useful to get to know people a little bit, and just chat. It was our first time in Aberdeen last month and my first at a club ever, it was nice to meet like minded people and see if there was anyone we might want to meet privately.
We can't get to Aberdeen every month, so it would be nice to have something local. A group setting takes the pressure off a bit and is more relaxing than just two couples having coffee. It can feel a bit like an inter_iew, lol!

I also went to the October lunch in Dundee, there was a pretty decent sized group, about 25 or so? The only problem was the way the tables were arranged there was no opportunity to move around and chat to everyone. I'm looking forward to the next one too

If you can track down the people who used to run (or maybe still do run) the Dundee fetish scene Munches they might be able to advise on a venue that'd make table hopping easier.
I hear reports that the Dundee munches were very successful. |

A simple meet up would be easy enough to set up, though if u need possible meet locations in Dundee Id suggest "The Counting House" its good for food/drinks and its got plenty of space, and u can reserve an area. |

The problem isn't finding a venue.
Just about anywhere would be delighted to take a booking for 20-30 people any lunchtime.
The problem is stopping the venue, or the media, finding out why you're there. |

yes, but I'm thinking of places to use for swinging, I think pubs may frown upon us get frisky on the tables, lol!
Shame the gay sauna has closed, it may have been possible to hire it one night a month |

I dont know how long you have been on here but there people that arrange regular lunches and the last thing you do is advertise a venue on here its all done by email or txt. "
Yes, I know. I've been to the lunch. But if you read what I've actually said, you'll realise I'm talking about opening a club, not organising a lunch. |

I'd suggest you simply organise a drinks aft/eve in a pub etc. call it something the sounds innocuous - my old school seniors held such events called SPRU - Senior Pupils Rave Up) and I am aware of other similar drinks events held in Scotland on the scene.
As for an actual club for sex, you would need licences - don't ask me what kind. But trouble with that is that many town worthies see the words sex club and think brothel. It's so much harder to open a club in Scotland than in England. |

There is a place in dundee which was willing to hold swingers socials on a regular basis in there private function area but there wasnt much of an uptake. So if someone wants to set one up feel free to pm. |

had a look at this old post and unsurprisingly, Dundee still doesnt have a club. I know it would take someone with the money and business acumen to start one, which rules me out lol, but it is still something that i wish would happen. things have been too quiet here for too long |

It shouldn't need money or acumen. Talk to your verifications list. Get them to talk to theirs and so on.
You should be able to generate enough interest and contributions to justify booking a good hotel suite (assuming there is such a thing in Dundee).
If you can manage this, you have the basis of a business.
If you can't ..........
