A fab ceilidh sounds like a great idea for a social. Lots of activity and interaction. However, we'd perhaps need some more appropriate dances. What dances would you suggest?
I'll start:
Whip the strillow (no idea what a strillow is but it sounds kinky) xx |

"Canadian Harem Dance. (Born there btw )
Actually in the harem?
No. A barn. "
Ah, a Canadian Barn Dance. Was the barn you were born in in Canada? Perhaps somewhere in the Middle East? Is this your second time here? |

There are a few interesting group dances listed in the various 18th Century Traditional Dance Collections published privately by The Beggar's Benison (a Scottish gentlemen's club devoted to "the convivial celebration of male sexuality" which was based in Anstruther). These would have mostly been danced in 4-6 couple longwise sets. Two of these dances are mentioned in Robert Burns' "Merry Muses of Caledonia".
Lady McTavish's Tittyfuck (reel)
Senga's Fairy Glen (waltz)
Jennifer's Dripping Gussette (waltz)
The Maiden Flowers of Edinburgh (reel)
The Cock's March to the Maiden (reel)
The Fucking of Clara's Minge (strathspey)
Mrs Stewart's Hornypipe (jig)
Speed the Pork Plough (waltz)
Nine Inch Will Please a Lady (reel)
Mrs Cockfoster of Auchterlonie's Fudgepipe (jig)
The caller's instructions in the original publications are priceless.
