....& if a double decker bus crashes into us, to die by your side is such a heavenly way to die. & if a ten tonne truck, kills the both of us, to die by your side, well the pleasure the privilege is mine.

There are no superlatives adequate in my view to describe The Smiths!

Morrissey is the poet of our generation and Johnny Marr...well his credentials speak for themselves.

The Smiths are now the band of choice for the cool, music loving adolescents of the 2000s.

From the John Lewis advert to the big screen (Perks of Being a Wallflower), The Smiths are rightly being acknowledged.

Long Live The Smiths.

Sorry too many good lyrics to choose from...but after all that "Send me to sleep, I'm tired and I, I want to go to bed."

Do you think they will ever reform ? The Stone Roses said they would never do it but once the filthy money called ( sorry musical integrity ) they came running .

My dad hates Morrisey with a passion. I'm no hardcore fan, but they did have some great songs says I.

Don't apologise haha. I'm not the type to try convince you they are amazing. Now, if you said that about Idlewild, that might be different

I'd never convince anyone to like The Smiths (especially if they reformed which is extremely unlikely) or Morrissey...more tickets for me! lol

better

In the velvet darkness of the blackest night

Burning bright, there's a guiding star

No matter what or who you are.

There's a light over at the Frankenstein Place

There's a light burning in the fireplace

There's a light, light in the darkness of everybody's life.

The darkness must go down the river of nights dreaming

Flow morphia slow, let the sun and light come streaming

Into my life, into my life.

There's a light over at the Frankenstein Place

There's a light burning in the fireplace

There's a light, light in the darkness of everybody's life

I think my favorite has to be

'now I know how Joan of Arc felt, as the flames rose to her roman nose and her hearing aid started to melt!!!'

Pure class

Morrisey a cock end but a legend
