Lost faith on here

So just been speaking with a verified female profile on here back n forth for a few week pics and all and decided to take it to snapchat to arrange a meet and first thing is its a bloke pretending. Accidentally gave out the wrong username for fab which was a male username. This was after not speaking for a few days on fan n first time on Snapchat so obviously doing this too more than one person
What the fuck is wrong with guys?
Think i am done with fab and just stick to cjs at least then you know who your talking too
Ps bloked reported too now availe hell just chsnge profiles |

Secondly, you have Snapchat? You’re 36 man!
Thirdly, see if it’s a profile with a photo veri and no meets (in over a year…) or with one single veri from a male or not photo verified at all with one veri from a male…bin them off as chances are….someone’s at the goat |

My goddaughter is 16 and a couple years ago we were out for food with two of her wee pals before they went onto the cinema. My Snapchat did that click noise when someone sends you a chat and the girls were all taking the piss for having snap at ‘my age’ app deleted |

Yeah. Verified by a couple (hidden profile) and a female (hidden profile) and the newest was just before xmas… dont get me wrong hidden profile in hindsight should of been a red flag but due to the pandemic i know lods of folk that hid or deleted there profile i did the same… but to think that person went to all that trouble seems baffling to me… cant believe some one create fake profile ontop of fake profile just to fake a verification… seems i am being cynical… but then theres some one thats just messaged me saying they now of guys giving out random verification like wtf is the point in the verification system any more if you cant trusted?

Also kik never works so moved to snapchat because you can phone and call the person and any photos sent delete whoch guve discretion. I ve been burnt with giving out my number to a few folk in the pass
But any suggestions on alternative that folk use other than kik (just doesnt work) let me know |

I can see why that would be annoying but really I just feel sorry for people who feel the need to do that. There are defo a lot of time wasters on here and people who are rude etc. Try not to take it personally. |

Yeah Kik can be a pain especially with all the adverts in it now. I wouldn't give out my number either. I know there's another app called Telegram, similar to Kik but believe it's better. I'm considering getting rid of my Kik x |

Don't lose faith. I've meet a few genuine people here it can take time but it's worth it honestly. The people pretending to be a women here are just sad and not worth your time. Don't let them get you down |

Snapchat was originally called Peep-a-boo and was designed for sending nudes to people so I think it is very qualified to be used by people on here - as a matter of fact, it is probably the best app available for chatting off-site lol. I don't see what age has to do with using an app meant for socialising   |

Definitely lots of fakes or vain and superficial folk, lots judge via a pic that either shoot you down or block. As I say you never judge a book by its cover, especially when it has multiple endings |

You've two options
A) Live and learn, chalk it up to experience but don't let it get you down
B) become totally disillusioned from a bad experience, give up and leave the site
Yes there's fakes, sites packed with them, some quite sophisticated and difficult to spot! But there's some fantastic people, and the opportunity that the next message could lead to wild excitement!

More vigilant? Not sure how speaking for weeks, exchange pics, looking at verification and chatting up until exchange snapchat to actual meet…. To find out its a bloke all that time???
How do you recommend i be more vigilant? Except for refusing to meet or chat unless its at a swing club like if done for years and i think is the way forward for me know.
Also for those asking if it was just for a first meet nope… i ve met plenty of lovely folk and spoken on the phone and face time etc without verification because i ve now got to the point where they mean little to nothing if folk can fake them |

Don’t waste time endless messages and sending pics, coffee meet and be done with it ! I don’t share pics and can’t be bothered with endless messaging back and forth you either want to meet or not and tbh a social meet is just as good as anything else in my eyes gets you out the house and meeting new folk and if you’re lucky you might get lucky in other ways |

We’ve had it happen once from a couples profile. Guy wanted us to go meet his wife etc for a hotwife thing. When we asked to speak to her directly after a few messages to make sure she was cool with what he wanted, he vanished. Doubt the wife even existed.
Like folk have said, it’s just sad guys looking for wanking fodder. |

So OP they probably verified themselves from another account.
If you go to CJs then surely you’ll meet people there that you’d want to meet up with. My weekly social at the pub quiz is a great way to meet people. I don’t always have time to spend ages chatting to people on here. Come along to the pre-drinks socials before CJs and meet some people and have a chat. Don’t be put off with the time wasters on here. |

You meet and theyre a serial killer what do you do? Need to do some type of vetting before a social one on one… as i said a public place like cjs after 8 attic etc… seem the better option at least if theyre a serial killer theres plenty of witnesses lol |

I don't mind doing something like this, as long as people don't mind waiting till I brush my unruly wig and chuck on my face first...might prove I'm genuine but would also frighten them off too lol.
I don't like to speak on the phone (for work or pleasure) and I am usually surrounded by colleagues, toddlers or teens so video chats are a no go too. So a live photo holding a teaspoon or like said holding a thumbs up feels like an easier way to alleviate anyones concerns about my genuineness  |

Just asking the question how to be more vigilant thatn i already have been??? The live photo is a good idea though… much prefer the face time thought cause theres no real excuse that can be claimed for not jumping on a video call for 2 mins at some point in the day… i am single with two kids as well i get the hassel of time being limited but i still have when there away to bed to myself so yeah that kinda of excuse doesnt cut it for me. Only just brings up more red flags like there cheating and dont want caught etc |

I prefer stick to site at first especially if it's a instant to Snapchat or kik whatever it be the latter of which I don't have (Kik) but yeah turns out to be scammers or guys trying get there jollies most the time when it's instantly taking chat to elsewhere. This is the internet though |

I run a Kik group, for swingers, and that's how we verify, we ask them to send a live video of them doing something unusual like trying to lick their elbow lol xx |
