I hate when people say "ink" or "inked", it's Hella cringe

I don't have a specific shop I go to exclusively because I have so many, alot of mine are done at tattoo conventions by my friends.

All my tattoos are themed so I research who is the best artist of a particular style and book them

Fair comment, from my experience having alot of tattoo artist friends and heavily tattooed people, we just say tattoo, like, rather than I got some new ink, you would just say I got a tattoo, it's no harm done tho, I'm just messing with the OP

Have to agree there, also I'm happy to wait. My rule of thumb is usually to think about a tattoo for a year and if I still love it as much as when I first thought of it then I get it. It is going to be there for life after all.

Tattoos are marmite even before you go into WHAT you have tattooed on you so I like to be very sure when I get one.

So true, exactly what I did before getting my tattoo, already organising my delivery in my head, hopefully start it before end of year

I go to a place that a mate owns in North Lanarkshire and Jane goes home to her native Poland to the guy who has done her tattoos for well over a decade now.

Previously I just went to the same random place that 'everyone goes there' and was mostly flash stuff. Now I go to girl called Michelle Maddison, was previously at semper in Edinburgh but has just moved. I wanted a Disney tattoo & researched images & her stuff is amazing. Been goin to her since. Have to wait 3 1/2 months for her next free appointment though.
