If someone has a picture of a particular sexual act on their profile, but says they generally are not looking to partake in said act, should they still display those pictures?
I don't meet lone men for sexual activity on this profile, I am happy to meet socially but I'm always upfront and clear that it will not lead to anything other than coffee and cake.
However I have a picture of me in a mfm outdoors. I've been told several times that if I'm not looking to meet men I shouldn't have a picture of me doing so, as it gives the "wrong impression". 
Comments like these are why I don't list any interests. But is is purely an arrogant sense of entitlement from men who don't read profile text (or believe they should be the exception). Or should public pictures on profiles only be of the kind of acts you're looking to do again?

It's absolutely the arrogant nature of some people, particularly guys.
Just because you have done something with someone else doesn't mean that someone should automatically feel entitled to be able to do that with you. For them to then say you shouldn't be posting the pictures? You don't owe them anything and quite frankly, they can fuck right up in my opinion.
You do you and never mind these fucking knuckle draggers who get pissy when they don't get what they want. It's your experience, not theirs.

While it's your profile you can post whatever you like , as for the topic here.
I think if you say your straight for example and your clearly not straight going by your pictures then it's understandable people will possibly comment on that or if your female and say your not into blow jobs then have a profile full of pictures of yourself sucking cock then again people might ask . It's still your right to tell them to fuck off and mind their own business but I think if you post pictures clearly the opposite of what you seek then your asking for these types of questions re what you actually want.
However If your chatting to someone and tell someone on an individual basis that you won't do this or that even if its showing on your profile that you do actually do these things but just not with that person then there is no argument, you are absolutely entitled to make your own rules of what you do or don't do with that person.

A picture is a snapshot of an experience you shared with one person at one moment in time.
It's no clear indication of what you did prior to that picture being taken or what you have any intention of doing with anyone in the future.
The sense of entitlement of some people on here is astounding. |

If its really causing that much bother then maybe change your profile pic though. You know its an issue and its within your ability to do something about it. So to deal with the crap each time or not is your decision.

Interesting to see the varied responses, although there were no surprises in the way some responded.
I personally feel those who judge _ased purely on the pictures on someones profile are probably the kind who read the headlines of a news story on social media and then head to the comments, therefore making a fool of themselves
But as I say it's very interesting to see the thought processes, judgements and even in some cases the sense of entitlement of others. This is why I love the forums, to see how other people tick!
