Would you stop going if the prices for men and women were equal (and couples paid individual man and woman prices?)
Eg. Women's prices doubled and men's halved.
Just a poll, not looking for stats or reasons why prices differ.
In this scenario the ratios/numbers of all genders remains the same as you have experienced in the past. |

In your hypothetical scenario, don't know if would stop attending all together but certainly would be less as for instance CJ's would be £80 for us and yes that's too steep.
Reality though prices could be done like that but ratios wouldn't stay same as we wouldn't be only couple to cut back and imagine several women would reduce visits... prices are set to economical standards (least to an extent) as its easy to find 50 men to pay £40 from a pool of 1,000 local men but numbers wise per 1,000men is maybe 100 couples and 20 females.
Do think it is fair couples pay same as men though. |

In this scenario everyone would pay same so about £15-£20 per head depending on the night. |

It's market forces really, but at the end of the day miost men will be willing to pay more even! I spend a ludicrous amount normally in pubs on a night out, so I would be saving by going to a club even if it was £100 entry! |

If men only had to pay £20 then I think most will still go and go in by themselves. It's expensive enough for them to pay double and I still don't get to this day why they pay the same as couples. The number of single men allowed in is capped so the club makes more money from couples. However if the price was doubled for single ladies then they might not go that often. I only go once every few months so I probably would pay it x |

Personally I wouldn’t mind paying extra, I don’t drink anyway so it’s a super cheap night for me.
The way I’ve seen it is men pay more so therefore in theory are spending less on alcohol(men are perceived to be more agressive likely to fight become a nuisance d*unk) women are paying less on entry more on alcohol(perceived to have less inhibitions more confident) although we mostly all know these are not the actual facts about how men and women behave but I have always felt it plays a part in historically why prices have been the way they are. |

Its simple men pay more because they are the cash pigs that keep swing clubs going simple
Its not couples or booze that keeps the lights on and what it does it keep the trash from the door because they wont pay. So you dont get moronic people like you get at dogging sites and when a couple try to sort out a gangbang with every one and there granny pretending to want to go and waste the time and those who act like a arse hole because they paid expecting the club to be a whore house and not a adult events club |

Woman for years shouted about discrimination to be treated equal which is right.
Now the discrimination is on single guys in clubs.
Even tvs c/ds pay less than a single guy and they are guys dressed up |

Tvs & cds pay the same as men at the clubs I've been to & the ones I've seen the prices for online. Cjs definitely charge the same for both, which this thread has been quoting the prices of thus far
If the prices doubled for women (to say £40) then it definitely wouldn't stop me going but it might reduce how often I could afford it as I have to factor in new outfits and lingerie etc. Just another factor to consider.

Women fought for the right to be no longer be seen as less than men when it came to having a voice and achieve goals beyond giving birth. It’s a bit different.
We pay couples prices at CJ’s but honestly would pay more if we needed to because it helps support the community in having a place to gather.
Clubs are like fab. Dicks are plenty. Nobody needs to pay the price but there will always be a guy standing behind you who will. Why not make the most of that by charging more? It’s good business acumen. You’re not bringing anything to the table that another guy can’t.
Same thing with tv’s. The sheer amount of “straight” guys who are into them would probably shock you. Lower prices gets them in the door and keeps the customers happy, keeps those same guys coming back, keeps them paying those higher single male prices. |

Thanks for the replies. Some were interesting. I was doing this more as a little social experiment which is why I said I didn't want to know any reasons why any gender should pay more or less. A simple yes or no from the target audience was all was needed.
I have no issue with prices btw. I'm not a regular at any place. Maybe I would be if I had the time because I met some lovely people when there.
I hope for all you regulars the govt restrictions don't restrict your fun |

We wouldn't pay more as we also have to factor in travel costs from Dundee. I do think it's unfair that single guys pay more but I think it's easier to get single men than single ladies, so ladies prices are low to entice them in. |
