Went to leave a verification for a guy just there and realised I couldn’t as I hadn’t physically seen him on webcam or met him in person
I’ve been speaking to this guy for literally years
Neither of us is leading the other on, who knows one day we might meet
Anyway the point of this post is to ask how much weight do you put on prospective playmates verifications (or even summary)

" I don't!
I'd only verify if met them in person |

"Be easy to solve if you just video called for a short time .
Apart from actually knowing the person it's the only way really to be sure.
" Alla video call proves is that you've spoken to a male or female nothing more.
Most take no notice of webcam verifications |

Agreed. Our view is that a cam veri is no veri at all |

"Verifications out the time wasters and fakes. You need to actually see the person on cam or in person to know its them.
Messaging back and forth could be anyone "
Yup - which is why I didn’t
Was just wondering how much attention anyone placed on verifications

Sounds about right I wouldn’t even bother reading a webcam verification |

We have met many people on here through meets and clubs but always refuse verifications and also friends.
What we do stays with us and we do not feel the need to tell anyone else or publicise it.
We have been asked far more than once if we would like to have a verification from people we have never met in return for giving them one.
You judge for yourself how much weight to put on them but we always use phone or video to verify. |

Agree, webcam veris are just pointless.

Verifying by cam or purely because you've spoken to them for a while proves nothing, someone who will waste time or not show up for an arranged meet or be a nasty dick in general can still show their face on cam or type a conversation. Only verify once met in person to assure others that they are actually serious about making the effort to meet others. |

Personally I don't like Cam verifications, and only really trust ones that are from Meeting in Person. Cam can be faked in various ways, if you know what you're doing.
Yea, it means that in the last (near) two years it's been a bit trickier, but it also means that if someone is genuine, then they'll try harder.

"A woman on here told me she does veris for cash and that was the reason why she had so many.
(Aye right then) "
It's very possible i think, I've seen people asking for veris on local updates and ending up with one the next day. It seems to be the same woman who verifies them.

Since I do a weekly Fab social (pub quiz), I have verified quite a few people but only because we’ve met in person. This helps them to then go to organised socials where verifications are required.
I do get annoyed at people I hardly know asking for a verification after they’ve gone and returned to Fab. If I can’t remember them then I don’t verify them. |

We have been off and on the site for quite a number of years now, been verified many of times but tbh we arent really fussed about them, we also dont look to see if anyone is verified.. we chat and see if there is anything there then move to a messaging app. Can always ask for a direct photo as will show as camera on it. To back up they are who they say they are. But we dont judge on verifications.. why would anyone? We get the point in the site but the more verifications there is.. its actually off putting we dont want to play with someone who has been with the full site lol |

Verifications are good for us single guys as it allows potential couples to check we’re not a Fred West in hiding.
Had some nice comments from couples on my veri’s that led to them meeting me, so all good if the system isn’t abused.
Not a fan of Cam veri’s as it proves nothing. |

Cam verifications do service a purpose.
Anyone can get verified through pictures from the site admin.
But a cam verification suggests that the individual is a real person and has been viewed by others.
It doesn't mean they will meet at any point. But they are verified as a real person.
A social meet verification is the next step up from a cam verification. They signify that a person is activity seeking.
A one on one verification signifies they are active in the community.
Club meets are somewhere inbetween.
All are valid. How you interpret a verification is the key.

How much weight do I place on verifications?
Not much in themselves, people can behave for a few meets to acquire favourable verifications then misbehave, or the definition of a good time might not be the same as yours, the info can be years old and/or fake. Collectively a chat, being photo verified, verified by members all helps build a picture but you need to apply careful judgement on top of all that.

Spot on.
Verification system is generally a waste of time imo as I’ve never read a bad one and one persons “what a meet, til the next time” can be another’s “complete nightmare, bored to death” |

Worst ones are where a former couple splits and the single guy keeps the profile so he doesn't lose "his" veris.
To me that's misleading as the guy could be completely different meeting as a single guy |

I find verifications useful (assuming they come across as genuine) as it adds another dimension to a person who may be too modest to bang their own drum.
As to cam verifications - I’ve gone on to meet several women that I’ve verified via chatrooms and in most cases it’s worked out well.
Personally I only post and give social verifications as any more intimate meets are exactly that. Private. Not a fan of reading “sexual exploit” verifications. Bit of a red flag. |

I tend to do most of the writing for veris; usually at a club or social event I’ll make a note of anyone specific that I or we have chatted to at length and esp if a single M has been respectful etc as it’s harder for them to be trusted by others, but I’ll always encourage them to get along to a social so ppl can meet them F2F for themselves.
I know some people have said they have reached out to someone we’ve verified and had a good time so I’m happy to be an inadvertent matchmaker

Possibly already answered - but I’m an unverified user attempting to verify another unverified user who I’ve now met face to face (and excellent it was, too).
Am I right in saying we can’t at all verify one another? Seems a counterintuitive rule. |

Not really, someone could set up two new accounts then verify each other.
There are enough false verifications on here at our is. |

Seems like a lot of trouble to go to for the sake of a thumbs up, while us genuine users are just trying to prove ourselves as non-messers. Anyway, we plod on |
