Often see, "message before friend inviting us".
We all know why that happens.
Do you have a process of helping you decide if friend listing is safe to do?
Is it if, like what they convey via messages?
Simply recognise they have mutual friends already?
Or simply like look of them?
Or strictly only after actually met them?

ditto.
to me - friends list is simply a list of peeps that I have either met/hope to meet or had good chat banter with or hare interests(interests being either vanilla or fab related.
but - as with life in general - friends come and go for a variety of reasons - so it is that friends lists get occasionally pruned.

I think after a few days of correspondence regular messaging it is fine to accept a friend but also do asking they are ok with sending one. But yes do have a clear out now and again of those who dwindle in background or find they are only on once every 6 weeks as I think what's the point |

I usually only add once some chat has gone on and there is an intrest by both parties.
I have a few list of friends
(1) fridnds in chat
(2)friends ive met at socials
(3)friends i meet socially
(4)playmates
If for any reason the connection stops then i usually offer the option to try and remain friends or delete |

Agree, just the pruning bit i dont share the need to do that, never close doors on folks who may be too busy with other swinging things or because not heard from in ages, do tend to do it only if they turn out to be un-friend like. |
