What do most of you gents like to wear when out for a drink on Fri/Sat night? Also what do you ladies like to see a man wearing?

Reason I'm asking is I was out on Saturday and so many people looked scruffy and wearing old battered trainers.

The saying goes that “clothes make the man” but I think the reverse can be true and charisma shines through, I don’t judge a book by its cover lol

Depends on the circumstances, meeting your pals for a few jars = first thing you pull on

Out out = whatever makes you feel confident enough to take on the world

Generally, but not exclusively.

Chinos and a shirt. Can look smart when required or more casual. As someone who used to wear a suit to work every day the idea of getting that dressed up when out relaxing just seems odd. Since lockdown though I’ve been wearing shorts and a polo shirt to work, so the shirt/chino combo now means I’m dressing up.

I’m more of jeans and trainers kind of guy myself. Think my last count was about 60 pairs. I was out Saturday and stuck a pair of boots on though

Always hated dress codes in nightclubs

I like seeing a guy wearing a shirt and either jeans or trousers. Looks very smart but still casual x

I spend my working life in a boiler suit, so for me a suit, with either a dress shirt or tee shirt for more relaxed look.

Depends where you’re going really.

Sometimes a t-shirt and jeans is all you need.

Other times a nice shirt is called for
