To go with a swinging theme,i would say the comedy Sex Life's Of The Potato Men,it stars Mackenzie Crook (The Office) and Johnny Vegas and a few other well known actors.I think it was a Film Four movie, well worth a laugh.

If its Jack films, surely "As Good As It Gets" is got to be up there.

Recent good ones for us were The Wrestler and The Boat that Rocked

"Gone baby Gone" real twists in this film and Mr Freemans in it.

Mystic River Directed by Clint Eastwood, starring Sean Penn who just gets better n better, if we can just skip "Milk" that is.

"Heat" with DeNiro and Pacino,superb.

Cape Fear,,DeNiro, again brill.

"So i married an axe murderer" mike Myers, funny, with his dual roles, his scottish dad things hilarious.

"Scent of a woman" Pacino and superb tango dance scene.

If you have Blu-ray, flatscreen surround sound etc, Ironman and the Transformers films are great action films.

For laughs you could watch How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days - it had Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey. drool lol

Or What Happens In Vegas - with Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher but their best friends are funnier!!

PS I Love You always brings a tear to my eye but such a good film.

Dont like horror so cant say which gory films are best but I have a friend who swears by the Saw series.

Manhunter from director Michael Mann, was also know as Red Dragon in the USA-Red Dragon was based on the Thomas Harris novel.Hannibal Lecter's legacy of evil begins here..this is a great film and if you liked the Anthony Hopkins offerings as Hannibal Lecter..then this will leave you with skid marks on your undies and sleeping with the light on..ok i lied about that lol.To me it's better than Silence Of The Lambs

There will be blood.

Like most of Daniel D Lewis's films, so a bit biased.
