New job this year, our Christmas "party" is lunch at the Toby Carvery, straight after a team meeting. And we even have the pleasure of paying for it ourselves |

"Nowhere this year.
We usually go for a different venue every year in our area, but with some colleagues still avoiding crowded places, we won't be going anywhere still x"
Yes some people are still very cautious,
Gatecrash a random party haha x |

That sounds like fun,
some companies are a joke that do that. |

Once costed a night out in Glasgow compared to taking a party of 12 to Milan via Ryanair for a night out
Guess which was cheaper.
Settled for the expensive dinner and night at The Corinthian on Ingram St
Should have gone to Milan
I usually left early as was always working on the doors and had to watch others get pished and make an arse of themselves

11 of us (all blokes) going to the golf lounge in Glasgow, then another bar where we have booked a bucket of beer. Will probably be messy for some, not me though, I'm too sensible... |

I dont understand why people think any business should pay for a night out, especially after the last 18 months, maybe its the places I've worked but in some we paid ourselves all year and had a night out, other places offered a meal through the day or after a shift. I get that its a way to say thanks after a hard year but I'd rather have the cash in my hand to spend on my family rather than a cold meal at a hotel where you need to sit with the boss you can't stand? |

London - till 25th |
I have 2 in one day.
One at a rather nice upmarket restaurant (paid for) so I go to this one
And the other at a local chain restaurant, but I avoid it, as it turns into a booze fest.
Worst one ever was a hotels "party lunch" cold food, shit service and overpriced drinks.
Gouging bastards
