Love love love burlesque!
In the central belt we are thankfully spoilt for choice. In Edinburgh and Glasgow, the Academy of Burlesque & Cabaret do amazing classes. Cannot recommend them enough. Check Google for venues & times etc.
In terms of shows I only know info for ones in Glasgow but if you would like any ideas feel free to message me. I've only seen shows during the fringe in Edinburgh I'm afraid.
Happy shimmying!

"A couple of years ago I went to a burlesque club in London and ever since I've fancied giving it a try!
Does anyone know of any classes that teach burlesque or clubs where they perform it. "
I'm pretty sure there are! It was only a couple of years ago it was all the race and I wanted to become a burlesque instructor but I had a silly fall which ended in an operation and I could take that up at the time. If you're on Facebook, they're promoted there.. If you can't find, private message me and look it out for you. |

Between Edinburgh and Scottish Borders |
Absolutely love burlesque. There are classes in Edinburgh and places around. To name the few: Dance base in Edinburgh (I don't think they are running classes at the moment, but check the website) and Sassy von Sparkle - they have classes in different locations. We have tickets for Dita Von Tease, can't wait! |
