I am not one of the cool kids....my first ever gig was PJ & Duncan's Christmas Cracker tour, supported by Backstreet Boys.
I was barely a teen so surely I can be forgiven ![](/icons/s/2/halo.gif) |

"Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band.1977 "
Would have loved to have seen him play there,he's the only person I'd love to see live now,but don't think he tours anymore?
My only gig in the Apollo was the sweet. |

Wow memories
Not sure of dates of first gig, was either Queen supporting Mott the Hoople, or Thin Lizzy
Saw Queen play there 3 times
As an inspiring young musician I would go to as many gigs as possible and when Radio Clyde first went live in the mid 70’s I was fortunate to have a relation who not only worked there but got me access all area tickets to any band I wanted
Not many bands I didn’t see from 1976-1985.
Always thought I would get to play there but alas it was not to be |

What year? I have great copy of Wings live at Glasgow Apollo from 79 somewhere. Was supposed to be released as a live album, but got shelved after McCartney got arrested in Japan in 1980 and was never officially released. |

"Only saw one gig at the Apollo, the Jam around 1980-81."
I have a few old ticket stubs from the Apollo, I'm sure one is from The Jam in 1980. Not that it was mines with me just being a youngster haha. |

"The Strang-lers would be about my first memory of the old place
The forum wouldn’t allow me to use the bands name "
Me too in 78 then pretty much every punk/new wave band that played there over the years. Found all my ticket stubs when I was moving house a few years ago. Even a Clash one I'd forgotten I attended! |
