Any one been watching this on Netflix, I loved it think there might be a season 2

I loved it.

Was like a cross between Takeshi's Castle and Battle Royale.

I watched it with the subtitles rather than the dubbing and I'm so glad I did. The dubbing is horrible.

All of my friends raved about it. I gave it up pretty early on. Hated it. Violent bloody things aren't for me. I realise I'm probably in the minority here.

I've watched the first two episodes. Hate to say it but I'm kind of hooked already x

I watched it in the dubbed version.

I enjoyed it.

Defo think the only man is the main characters father though.

Totally agree to watching it with subtitles rather than dubbing. The dubbing "acting" is awful and ruined the first couple of episodes for me - subtitles totally changes it.

I binged on it, even though I thought it was crap I kept thinking it would get better. Then had to keep watching to see how it ended

I done the same, 8 episodes back to back. I can't believe the hype surrounding it

Me too I watched it and really can’t understand what all the hype is about. Didn’t even think it was that great a story line

Watched it and enjoyed it, but it needed a bit more depth.

It has been renewed for a 2nd series, I just hope it's a follow-on, and not just a whole new set of characters.

Although saying that, there's one character's comeback that's pretty unlikely, and he would have been a good partner for the main character.

If you liked Squid Game try "Alice in Borderlands" just give it to the end of the 3rd episode and see if you don't get hooked.

We tried it the other day. That's 3 hours of my life that I'm never getting back.

We love it. Have stuck to the subbed version but have been reliably informed by the kids that we are missing so much watching this way.

Really like the story.

I watched it as a dubbed version on my phone so didn’t irritate me as much as on a big tv.

I hear the subtitled version has more information and not as annoying to watch though.

I thought it was ok, nothing awesome like how everyone else is raving about it. I didn't see the connection to battle royale either? Also the police officers storyline and what they were all doing all felt a bit pointless, and the ending was a bit of a letdown... meh?

I put on the subtitles and it's a little better. The English dubbing was bad lol x

Was not impressed with Alice in borderland to be honest was an OK binge although just now Korean genre is probably best to binge on Netflix a hidden gem is European called la revolution although leaves you hanging as no season 2 yet

Not keen on the violence but its a great way of showing us our "survival Instincts" and how easily we betray people and what some will do for money

Yup, tried, it and thought it was violent shite. I guess it's aimed at the young gamers that do the violence stuff.

If anyone wants to explore more South Korean cinema then here are some recommendations:

Parasite

Train to Busan

Memories of Murder

Oldboy (avoid the American remake, it’s awful)

Finished watching Squid Game today. I have to say that even though I don't like violence it was actually quite good. I can see there will be a season 2 x

I watched it and enjoyed it but don't think there is any need for a new season. I've also watched Money Heist and now watching Hit and run. Both very enjoyable.

Even if it doesn't require another season, due to the popularity Netflix would be stupid not to make another one. I wouldn't be surprised if a Western version comes out either.
