Lol like I say JLS is not personal preference, taking a teenager to see them! I get a couple of days in Glasgow though so silver linings and all that!

Seen Paloma Faith when she was here after launch of first album; cracking voice and danced in heels all night (envious) have 3 albums of hers on CD (yes I’m old school)

We have rescheduled gig of Whitesnake headlining with Foreigner & Europe as support next year.
Plus my friend treating me (as birthday gift) next summer to Queen + Adam Lambert! I wasn’t sure about him but on seeing the documentary of how they got together and Brian & Rogers’ thoughts on him think it’ll be a great gig.

Saw Ghost at the Hydro 2 weeks ago which was awesome as always!
Upcoming:
Guns N Roses in July.
King's X in September.
Anthrax in September.
Really wanted to go to Belfast for Iron Maiden but the cost of going is just spiraling ridiculously the closer it gets. |

Ah brilliant, a fellow King's X fan! :D We're a rare breed haha. It wasn't even announced on their official feeds, the gig just randomly popped up as I was playing them on Spotify. Just keeping fingers crossed it goes ahead as past two scheduled gigs were both cancelled. |

Taking my kid to some gigs he wants to see,
The Strokes at Lytham festival in July,
Jesus and the Mary Chain in Glasgow in August.
The Cure in glasgow in December.
But for me I'm ridiculously excited to be seeing Jarvis Cocker in conversation, next month in Glasgow. Saw his new band in London in November but this will be a talk so very different |

Swithering about Deacon Blue... loathe the Hydro but if I don't go it'll be their first tour I've missed since 1990.

Was seated up the back last time, and we were up and down to let latecomers in and folks in and out the row to go to the bar or the toilet through pretty much every song until our section almost emptied after Dignity. Had ticket for Perth and returned it due to the covid situation at the time and lack of mask wearing and then Scottish Govt made mask wearing at gigs compulsory a few days before that gig! My favourite live band... did have a look at standing tickets. |

Can add Machine Head to this and considering Alice Cooper/The Cult now as well. |

I’m so jealous of you all
There are things I’d like to go to but my tastes generally don’t match those of my local friends and family
Be nice to have someone to go stuff like this with just as friends/companion
I like standup comedy, musical theatre, live music, cultural theatre (this is the hardest one to find a companion for - the serious stuff)
If anyone is up for buddying up drop me a line.
Upcoming events i fancy possibly are :
Russell Kane
Sarah millican
Jason Manford
Kevin bridges
Would love to try the glee club
Six
Rock of ages
Evita
Madam butterfly
Carmen
Cluedo
Rumours (fleetwood mac tribute)

I find myself in much the same boat tbh but I'd gotten to the point of having missed so many shows by not going that I thought, stuff it, why shouldn't I? Been to loads of gigs now over the past 20 odd years on my own and so glad I have as I've gotten into conversation and shared drinks with some great folk from all over the world. |

I’m ok going cinema and dining out some even prefer it often but haven’t quite had the courage to do gigs/comedy clubs alone yet and not sure about theatre |

Can totally understand you being wary on your own though. As most gigs are in Glasgow, and even though I know my around, I tend to stay overnight and will always try to find a hotel close to the venue. Oddly enough I've never had any bother in Glasgow and always had a great time everywhere I've been. Aberdeen is a different story!! Hate going there!! |

That's exactly what I used to think but it's more common these days so stop thinking it's weird. Would I have liked company at all those gigs? Sure, but I enjoyed myself every bit as much without it. The comedy club thing, yeah I get that, there's nothing worse than being singled out under a spotlight in front of everyone but the odds are fairly slim I'd reckon? Just shout back that the best date you've ever had is hidden in your handbag |

"Skunk Anansie tomorrow night, forgot all about it tbh until I got an email from the venue, doh!"
Well that was outstanding. For a first gig post-apocalypse it was everything we could have hoped for. Well worth the wait since February 2020! |

Virgin free The big thank you concert for all key workers at the hydro on Monday night.
Got Jeff Durham on the 14th of this month
And a Guinness book or record car event on the 18th of June in London. This one could be interesting as I could end up with certified entry if we break it ( well my car will ) |
