Anyone else having problems these days identifying who is actually "online"? Sometimes a green dot shows against a profile and they don't actually seem to be online when you visit their profile or message. Equally, during searching there sometimes isn't a green dot but the profile is actually online! It's frustrating! |

I don’t really see the importance of when people are online or not as if you message them, they will either get it then or the next time they log in.
But then again, we all use the site in a different way. I don’t use the mobile version as I’m too old school |

You often see posts saying I forgot to log out so not been online all day / night this is nonsense too as the site logs you out after a certain time on being inactive |

Not sure that the online dot really means much anyway, just because I show as being online doesn't necessarily mean that I am looking to chat. For example, I'll often pop on just for the forums and won't even look at messages.
It's pretty obvious though that some people just fire out messages to anyone local who shows as being online in the hope that they might get a response. |
