Can someone plz tell me exactly what the forums r for ?
I thought it was for open discussions and for ppl to voice their opinions on certain things that happen on this site
and also for a bit of fun but more often than not recenty post's r being removed because of a diffrence of opinions by users and i honestly dont think its fair if someone feels strongly about a topic they want to discuss here and get other ppls opinions on that for one reason or another the post is removed everyone will have diffrent opinions but i dont
c why the post should be removed just because ppl dont agree by what is being said in then .
would value other users opinions . |

For what its worth I dont think that any post should be removed unless it is derogitory or offencive in anyway, if its mereley a post voicing an opinion then everyone is entitled to their opinion and I for one would be offended if mine were removed. I am a member of other well run forums albeit football ones and these forums can get very off topic at time but still nothing is removed unless deemed as above. To add a post here and have it removed suggests to me that someone someone has taken a personal disliking to either the person or post. Again only my opinion and at the end of the day in the workds of Will Young, Who Am I.... |

Not sure which posts you are talking about, but posts don't normally get removed unless they break site rules..ie abuse when giving an opinion will get the post removed. |

Everyone should have the right to voice their opinions. But at the same time if they are really offensive or a personal attack then yes they should be removed. The problem is we live in such a PC society these days that someone somewhere will find offense in just about anything. |

Opinions are like arseholes everyone has one and they all differ, this is the place to air your views rightly or wrongly. If we all agreed all the time life would be pretty boring.Posts unless against the rules of FAB should never be removed what happend to freedom of speach.
But hey thats just my opinion. |

Ok without knowing which post it was, if there is an agenda to the post or thread then yes, if it could cause disruption because it is against another member , then it is wise to take them down...as it normally causes all out wars when the said member turns up. |

Agree with poster, if some one feels strongly about something why should they not be allowed to post on forum, as long as it does not break rules such as abuse or name and shame.
I know the post in question, having posted on it myself and can say the original post in no way broke any rules as i understand them.
I think i can safely say neither did mine as it was commented appon by a Moderator later in a posting of thier own.....lol
Think it must have been a posting later that broke the rules, why not just remove said post and deal with the person who posted it rather than remove the complete page??????? |

I think the forums should be used for a variety of reasons...
funny posts
harmless posts
social meet posts
the mundane stuff too ...
but it should also be used to air some important topics too - these would be topics that are important to individuals which make them feel they need to "vent their feelings" for want of a better word.
The subject recently of the above posts has turned volatile and controversial sometimes - and yes i have been caught in the cross fire here so i know exactly what devil is talking about. We are all entitled to our opinion - right or wrongly - and should be allowed the forum to voice these opinions - providing there is no direct abuse to members on this site and that includes naming and shaming.
The removing of the posts must have been due to direct abuse - or the threat of potential backlash against members - and yes again i was also caught in this for standing up and admiting i was the person that stood a member up even thought i got in touch with him.
hmm am sure i can write more on this - this will do for now

would value other users opinions ." forum a medium for public debate. or on this site forum a medium for public debate, providing the moderator or the chosen few agree .no doubt this thread will be removed .it seems if you are losing the arguement. remove the opportunity to discuss, very clever, |

I don't think any post should be removed unless its abusive to a particular member. If a post is removed, Admin should be asked to give a reason to A) the member who's post was removed and B)to the members in general. Its called democracy!! I may not agree with a given opinion but I defend to the death, the right of a person to express that opinion ! |

Admin rarely remove posts so there must have been a very valid reason for them doing so. I can't see what the point of this thread is other than to try and stir up opinion of some sort. Would it not have been more grown up to contact admin directly? I'd say they'd be much less inclined to comment directly on this thread. |

ok taking the bull by the horns and asking admin to close this post as its some peoples opinions ive only done it to stir up trouble rather than trying to find away get some help on here to some issues ive been having seems if a post is giving bad publicity then lets delete rather than address the issues some urers have . |
