Merchant City is good too. O'Neills, Blackfriars, etc. Merchant Pride has a singer on in the afternoon. Although it's a gay pub, you have loads of couple in there. Might even pop down myself today. x

If the weather stays like this, enjoy some sunshine in one of the beer gardens behind Ashton lane.

The Steps Bar in Glassford Street.

Not a trendy pub but nostalgic and a proper Glasgow boozer.

I mostly frequent the West End. Very rarely I'm in the city center.

Think I must be about the only person who doesn't actually like Ashton Lane. Too many annoying students and West End Luvvies. Lol. Before any asks - yes I was an annoying student myself 18 years ago!

For variety of places to drink and eat the Merchant City gets my vote. There are also lots great individual bars in the city centre. In no particular order I like Stereo (good beer selection) Vesp Bar (good pizza) Bar Soba, State Bar.

Dont mind Waxys for a quiet drink as it's just round the corner from where I work but am not a big fan. The fake Irishness annoys me and it's too easy to lose people on all the different levels!
