Looking for advice here, normally we find it easy to spot profiles that don't appear to be credible. Recently we have been messaged by profiles that are both photo and meet verified that just don't seem legit. Is it possible to get past photo verification? Anyone else experienced this or are we just being too caution (paranoid - cue black Sabbath)

Some are just pic hunters so always vet well on anyone you speak to regardless of verification method. Can’t say I’ve experienced it tbh but then I’m super scrupulous

Unfortunately there are quite few profiles that aren't quite what they claim to be. I think you just have to be very cautious & trust your gut.

A phone call is sometimes enough. If they're prepared to give you thier number and have a conversation it's a decent start.

Just make sure you hide your number when you call.

Just today I caught a fake profile that was meet and photo verified. How they get it I don't know

Dunno if it's a thing but any profile thats proven a fake and meet verified, the profile that verified them should be booted as well.

It’s difficult to prove… there’s those that cry fake just because you won’t meet them… smoke and mirrors. I’ve said many time scrupulous vetting s it out. I’ve never experienced it because I don’t get involved with anything or anyone I’ve not been sure of.

Anything is possibly on Fab.

Reverse image search is a good way to start.

Phone or video call if they're willing (we don't)

If they have verifications look at them and do the above.

And yes, a photo verification can be fake using photoshop.

If it seems to good to be true then it probably is.

Fake profiles using photoshop that’s some length to get yourself verified on a swingers site! Too much hassle that!! Things must be tough for some

Just because someone holds a pic up with their name on it and has previously behaved when invited to shag someone, doesn't mean they will always be so....

It minimises being exposed to problematic people, not eradicate it.

Your gut is often the best defence.

I think it is worse than ever - some complete belters on here nowadays

Not sure how to stop them unless a fee to join was mandatory ( some will howl no way and even then might never work )

Sometimes I have given up on here

I’ve had women ask me about guys I’ve verified in the past and always said if they have a veri then they were who they said they were and to me they were decent, I simply don’t leave a veri for someone who’s a twunt or isn’t quite who they say they are.

I try not to judge others by their veris as well but sometimes I see some and I’m like avoid like the plague

It’s getting beyond ridiculous. So many people seem to have one recent verification. I’ve had people message and say verify me and I’ll send you a sexy pic (google reverse is a good way to spot a fake)

Once got done by a very elaborate scam on here in 2015 - a couple supposedly hosting high-end organised parties. Turned up at the venue a little sceptical, only to meet up with lots of other scammed folk (we'd only paid a minimal fee as a couple, but single guys had paid much more). We all went to a nearby bar for a much needed stiff drink and sat and watched as the 50 odd verifications on their page started to disappear before our eyes, then the profile also disappeared into thin air. Was the first time I discovered Google image search which showed all profile images were also fake. Luckily got money back via our bank and reported to police who weren't that interested - though many others were too shy/ashamed to follow this route. There were multiple profiles organising a large number of parties - they must have made £1000s. Always Google image search and if looking at meeting, video call - absolutely! If anyone is hesitant about this, they're not worth the meet. Good luck and stay safe folks xx

I tend to do that when skimming through and report with url of where they lifted the pic from..and have mailed admin with simple things they can do. (I work in cyber security) All fab do is block from seeing the profile again. So atully seems pretty pointless. More Fakes. And escorts still spew out every hour

I find things like this a bit unfair expecting someone to divulge their private details while you remain anonymous.

If it's good for the goose it's good for the gander.

And never ask for what you won't provide yourself.

I remember this happening

You can usually tell. A lot of new profiles pop up and they all verify each other. It looks like they have several verifications but they all lead back to the same profiles. I actually thought I came across something similar at the weekend but I may be wrong, it just seemed a bit coincidental that a lot of profiles of single girls in their early 20’s all appeared and were into the same sort of thing. As I said I could be wrong

We usually look at veris and see if they have met other well known profiles or well verified people. We also ask for a phone call if we aren’t sure.

For us this is an awkward one.

We have obviously looked at "friends" and verifications and decided we don't want either. We actually ask people to not send them.

For us we do not need to tell anyone the "who, why, what when and how good oral skills are". All that is missing is a star system to rate others.

We know who our friends are and if we meet we can call or video call first which we will do.

There are those who do not want to "meet" because we have no verifications even though we offer a video or phone call. That is their choice.

We do get called "fake" by some (usually when we politely refuse a meet request) but there should be a better way of verifying someone as genuine.

"What's Google reverse??? "

On android. Phone long press on image use Google lens.

On Windows in chrome. Right click search image

This uses image matching to search the Web to find other copies of the pic. So if its been lifted from a pron site you can be sure it's a fake.

It's always better to be overly cautious.
