I was laughing to myself about seeing frequent posts on here about how "this place is getting worse and worse" or "I wish fab was like it used to be".
My thesis is that it's always been about the same - I've been on off since 2013. Specifically, high men to women ratio, high levels of men being aggressive and abusive, lots of people not quite who they say they are and lots of people not turning up to meets (for the same reasons they always haven't).
Anyone disagree? Is it getting measurably or observably "worse"? |

Been on and off since 2008 and I’d agree just there are far bigger numbers on here than before so it’s harder to filter them all out than before |

I think you’re mostly correct, the only thing I’d add is in the early days I think it was a bit more sociable and friendly. Keyboard warriors are a bigger problem but that’s true of all kinds of social media nowadays.  |

Yes I'd say you're right OP. There's definitely been an influx of men over the last year so the ratio of men to women on here is higher than ever before. Overall though the site isn't what it was years ago x |

It was definitely more friendly & socialble years ago than it is now.
As for abusive males my own experience has been from jealous & abusive females not to mention if you upset someone before you known them and their 100 mates are all against you .
I tend to keep myself to myself now  |

Agreed that it was more friendlier in the beginning.less social event trying to make money and more about a chance to meet folk you speak to on here in real life.
Not as many egos or forum topdog Wannabees more like-minded individuals trying to have a giggle . |

In the early days at the start of Fab it was very much a "sex fun site" in that people were on looking for fun and chatting with each other with egos. Laughs aplenty at times including in Chat Rooms especially if you made a mistaake trying to "whisper someone(ie pm)".
Sadly as Fab itself became more commercial then it lost its soul and so opened up the site to lots more people many with very large egos and with that lots of backstabbing and general nastiness especially if you weren't in with "the in crowd"
Such a shame at times when you compare now with then... |

Fair enough and maybe I've not been on long enough. I do recall using the chat rooms more and enjoying them.
I suppose their is also the commercial element as you say.. Lots of folk with their personal brand, mimicking porn and folk selling access to parties and other things etc.

I think it just mirrors what is going on with other sites. More fake profiles, time wasters and people thinking it’s 24/7 sex. Also the number of people who don’t seem to take lockdown restrictions seriously have been added to my block list.

I have to laugh at some of them though. I saw one status which said the site is terrible for single guys. This is the same guy, who let me rant to him, on Kik, about men on Fab harassing me, and then asked me how I was going to make him cum  
For me, it's more about the men who can't take no for an answer, or who continue to message every single day asking if I'm up for a meet, or like the male mentioned above... seems like a stand up guy, then proves he's no different from the ones I get upset about.
I can't comment on the 'good old days' though, as I've only been on the site for 2.5 years xx |

Not sure I'd totally agree with that. I was First on here more yrs ago than I care to remember and then as now, I took a back seat however, I saw lots of the same behaviours, in some cases by the same people that are evident now. Guess it may appear worse because there's more people but forum bullies and 'gangs' were just as evident then sadly. Many people left due to it but... It's how it is I suppose.  |
