I know its a real long shot but the more people who know the more chance we have.
Our lovely little husky ran off whilst walking her on the Lomond hills in Fife yesterday and despite hours of searching and contacting police kennels and dog wardens we have had no luck in finding her.if any of you lovely people here of a sighting, or own a kennel and have been given a husky to look after or well just any info it would be great if you contacted us.
Thankyou GandL |

Is she microchipped? If she is there is sometimes a lost dog search you can instigate through their website, which widens the search.
Presume you've tried local, and not so local, vets, cat and dog homes (don't rely on police kennels), and, sadly, the cleansing department of local councils? |

hope you find your dog soon , altho huskies are very resilient , so dont worry too much...just a thought but may be worthwhile sticking an ad on gumtree... they are well read and may get you additional coverage... heres hopeing x |

Can only imagine how distraught you both are. Once lost our spaniel overnight but she was sitting waiting on us the next day exactly where she had last been seen safe and well. Dogs are very resourceful she wouldn't be making her way back to your old home?? Has been known.
Hope you are all re-united soon.
Kay xxxxx
PS: Have you contacted local vets and dog wardens? |

Thx all you lovely peeps, unfortunately still no sign of our husky, been walking the lomond hills and surrounding area non stop since sunday and zilch. Have put adverts in courier and glenrothes gazette, asked Kingdom and Tay fm to read out notices, pictures put up on all walks thereabouts and in local shops - please someone find her soon, we're so gutted and missing her like mad!!!! |

I can only echo what others have said, good luck, My German Shepherd is one of the family and like a best mate, would be unthinkable to lose him.
Best Wishes ... |

Just wanted to give you an update, Thankyou for all your kind words and for the people who actually did look out for her and offered there help and advice.
After 3 and a half weeks she is still missing and we have heard nothing at all.We have contacted dog wardens and all sorts.
We have not given up hope but just felt that as you all wrote on this forum the least i could do was to give you an update.
Thanks again for your support, this site never ceases to amaze me with how helpful and friendly you all are.

I feel for you both, I'd be devastated to lose one of my dogs (despite offers being made for the nutty labradoodle!) they are constant companions who love me, amuse me, exasperate me but never bore me.
All I can hope is that someone somewhere has her and one day they may take her to a vet who will recognise her as yours. xxxxxxx |

I know you've contacted vets etc and I'm sure you've done this as well but , having dealt with missing dogs/rescue animals for many years, my general advise is don't take rescue homes at their word- visit and see for yourself what's in, write to every vet in the country with a picture and a poster, offer reward, phone the council cleansing department, poster the towns nearby, contact Dog's Trust, dog warden, get the numbers of any individual rescue people as well as the national ones, badger the police in various areas, ask even the cat charities if anyone's phoned about a stray DOG. Get children invloved and do a piece for the local-national papers- they love it.
Sure you've already done all this but it might help someone else.
Keep hoping- we case of a dog that disappeared in a flash from Bellahouton Park in Glasgow. For months there was no sign of it until it turned up in Bishopton- it had hopped on a train and got off at the other end! Another found its way from Inverclyde onto the ferry to Kilcreggan...not a bad move, right enough.
Good luck. |
