i'm very shy meeting people for the first time initially.....fine when it's one to one but in a large gathering environment i struggle to come out my shell unless i know someone |

I am not shy, have no idea why others would be shy. Its very easy to communicate with other humans especially if you all have the same type of things in comman... like swinging and being a very open person. Dont get me wrong, does mean i am bolshy or anything just dont get nervous meeting people as we are all the same . G |

We are very out going and will be first to make conversation
Up to the point of asking to join us in a room then for some reason we both go shy and find it difficult to get past that bit lol |

I wouldn't say I'm shy, maybe "socially awkward" would be more apt. I'm not the pushy, alpha-male type and maybe appear a bit introverted initially but once I'm relaxed into company I'm fine. |

Personally don't believe that being a swinge or aware of your own sexuality and confidence are mutually exclusive.
I am shy when I first meet people, until I am comfortable in their company. Even then I blush very easily as a few will testify too. I always laugh it off and tell people not to worry about it.
In other circumstances it would be fair to say I'm not in the least bit shy when I am in my comfort zone.

Very shy! lol - and into exhibitionism/voyeurism. Been asked many times and I think it's because I'm so shy that I find it such a turn on being watched. Gets my blood pumping to more than just my blushing cheeks ....  |
