Used to be never.

Then there was a small increase due to some of the company I keep/kept.

Over the last six months a notable increase. Effing COVID.

Yes, all the time but I have to curtail it for work and quite successful at it taking cognisance of the hoi poloi people I regularly meet and mingle with.

However, when I meet my brothers, as I will do this Sunday, then it just flows out of us all as easy as water flowing from a tap.

Very rarely and I need to be really angry if I do. Unless of course it’s being used in a sexual content.

I used to work with a guy who could put swear words into the middle of normal words. Unbefuckinglievable the guy ????

I always say that any cunt can swear but it is knowing when it is appropriate that is the difference. I use swearing for effect but I am very aware of the social situation and those present.

Very rare for me to swear, my family don’t either.

I heard my dad swear once. My brothers probably swear when with their friends but as a family we don’t.

It’s actually funny as my sister in laws family swear all the time but whenever we got together they wouldn’t swear. not that we criticised it I think they just knew we didn’t so didnt in front of us.

Similar here

Raised in a family were you only heard "bloody" or the occasional "shit" never ever the f word.

Have the take there are appropriate places...

Recall dining in an exclusive restaurant once in edinburgh..

Whole experience ruined by a very well to do family who's every other word was f..

For me appropriate places are back room bars the locker room

But more appropriately the bedroom..

When you dont use swear words day to day then they have more weight when used as on occasion earthy actions require earthy language..

Swearing is part of Scottish day to day language (mostly not in the work environment) swearing is only an issue when used in anger imo

Anybody who's been in or around the military will know where I'm coming from.

On the other hand, when I want to be, I can sound posh and hoity-toity as fuck.

Probably too much when working. But a recently life-changing thing has made me chill-out a bit more, and have been swearing a bit less.
