Ok folks its 4 in the morning and I can't get back to sleep! Grrrrr

What do u guys do to help you nod off?

I use herbal sleep remedies. Failing that, an orgasm works most of the time.

Lucky if i manage 4 hours sleep, shift work wrecks any eating and sleeping pattern.

Maybe a meet today section for insomniacs where we could hook up at daft o clock would be good

I switch it over to BBC Parliament. That usually does the trick and I fall asleep in seconds...

If you have trouble sleeping then you should go online have a look at different tricks to help you sleep.

Are your curtains dark enough to stop the natural light getting in?

Do you have a TV in your room? Having the TV on can stimulate your brain and keep you awake.

If you cant fall asleep you should get up and sit in another room and read then go back to your bed.

avoid caffine after 6pm ish...

I suffered with it for years then started to take a walk later on an evening and the exercise helped totally.

Serious answer - Read. Reading generally tires out the mind.

Truthful answer - Wank, although this may only work for men with our knack of falling asleep after sex. (why is that btw)

I cant get to sleep at night at the moment either, think it may be the heat. Problem is, nobody seems to chat on here at night, well not to me anyway.

Another good trick is to try and do some press ups on your matress, about 3 and you should be exhausted.

There is a big difference between a lack of sleep and insomnia due to a serotonin imbalance.

Insomnia is a serious medical problem that few realise how much effect it does have on everyday life. I average about 10hrs sleep a week, have been to sleep clinics, been on meds and injections.

Now just a way of life for me....... 25+ years and counting!!!!

Hypnosis is very effective in dealing with sleep disorders. As I am a hypnotherapist I may be slightly biased here.

totaly agree with you wendy i've seen few hypnotists for stopping smoking, an none managed to put me under let alone stop me smokin. fook usualy first thing i done as i left there office was light up lol
