From Friday 2nd April the stay at home message goes to stay local

Thinking it maybe time, weather permitting to test the sturdiness of the picnic tables in some of our beauty spots

What's people got planned for stay local, on a fab theme

I'm on holiday for 10 days so I'm sure I will be up for something outdoorsy, weather permitting

No plans to change anything from a fab point of view.

Be nice to be able to venture slightly further afield for a change of scenery though. Maybe even manage a walk on the beach some time soon (although will probably avoid the sunny days when everyone else decides to go there)

My understanding is that it is still pretty much stay within your local authority boundary, but basically now you can go out for non essential reasons so no just essential shopping or exercise.

If it's anything like the early lockdown of last year, then that means just 5 miles

https://www.gov.scot/news/stay-local-from-2-april/

People across Scotland can make non-essential journeys in their local authority area from Friday 2 April when a requirement to Stay Local will replace the Stay at Home rule

Restrictions on non-essential travel across local authority boundaries will remain in place. People must stay within their council area for non-essential shopping and should only travel to another area for essential shopping if there are no practical alternatives. People should also continue to work from home where they can to prevent unnecessary contact that could risk transmission of the virus.

Doing what I've been doing, staying at home and just walking locally. I'm not even thinking about doing anything else. We've all still got to stay locally and travel no more than 5 miles. Although I know a lot of people haven't been listening to that advice for a long time x

erm don't know if you lot notice but you still ain't meant to be outside of your local council area. Little has actually changed other than the 4/2 people rather than 1/1.

garden centres have been open anyway b&q, b&m, range ect.

hairdressers...I might cry at the locks all going

Aviemore and regularly visit Glasgow

This is when we are very lucky to live in the highlands. Our local authority area makes up a third of the land area of Scotland, almost the same size as Belgium! So we have plenty of places to go for a day out now. .

I don't know why folk are getting so excited in a Scottish context, because stay local means in your local authority area.

Not much scope for getting out and about there. Of course, that assumes that you're abiding strictly by the rules!!

Not much will change for me. Until 26th that weekend I intend on taking train down to Ayr, go to the beach

Yay for change to stay local, but please abide by social distancing,,, when one of your extended family dies of COVID, you wouldn’t want it on your mind that it might have been you that passed it on.

Still supposed to stay within your council area and not travel. The only changes are that you are permitted to travel around your local area for non essential purposes.

There's the difficulty though. If you live in a city, 10 miles is a long old way.

In the Highlands you've not reached the supermarket for the weekly shop.

I travelled 22 miles today to climb a near empty mountain.

I could have travelled 2 miles and spent the day mixing with hundreds in the park or paths around town.

I know which one was safer.

As for intimate fab activity, I'm not rushing back in. Caution is still needed, cv19 is still out there.

From what I've been seeing on social media, people seem to think we'll be back in lockdown after election day. I really hope that doesn't happen though x

I think the numbers at the end of the month will be more informative.

Once Easter has gone and the schools are back full time.

Thats when we will know if things are going to return to a new normal.

I just don't get the "all excited thing" people are claiming.

I will continue to use measures I HAVE placed on myself. Regardless of what some muppet claims I can do

Where are you just now kola , the last you said you were out of the country. ? So I'm just curious if the restrictions you placed on yourself are more forced than self enforced restrictions.

Met my pal for a picnic. Hadn’t seen them in months. It did wonders for their mental health and gave them a much needed boost.

Some people have really struggled with lockdown.
