We binge-watched all 5 seasons, and have since binged about another 83 different box-sets. Not a scooby what happened in series 5.
Spotted Stephen Graham in an advert earlier and thought "Oh aye - that's yon guy they thought was a paedo." I'm getting box-set crossoveritis. Watching Your Honor just now and waiting for the judge to cook some crystal meth. |

SitRep as follows
Something very dodgy about them happening across that armed robbery??? Was it a stitch up???
There was someone walked passed when Davidson and the rest of MIT were standing waiting to move into the block of flats .... was that Carl Banks??? Or was it Ryan (the ocg who was doing police training) making sure Terry was in situ to be arrested???
Carl Banks.... any relation to Lee Banks from series 5????
When the MIT were questioning Terry they said they’d found his semen on pictures of the victim ... in series 1 and 5 the OCG used to use prostitutes to collect these so they could use it as bribes or for planting evidence .... remember Tommy Hunter telling Tony Gates he’d make sure Jackie Laverty’s body turned up covered in his dirty business, that’s also how the OCG fitted up and bribed Hargreaves, are they fitting up poor Terry??? 
Terry’s freezer ... nae surprised it was shifted
Buckells always hanging about, me and a friend both text one another at almost exact same minute when he turned up in first 5mins saying “it’s always the quiet ones .... do you think Bucklells is H????”
Last one is an observation .....
The most chilling bit .... Terry’s solicitor packing him off in that car telling him he’s going to approved premises and he will be “safe” you just no that’s not gonna be true !!! |

Is Davidson, Hastings unknown daughter??? The woman in pic with a younger Davidson, (she flung a glass at), looks like the woman Hastings was seeing, (pic shown in previous series), when he was a police officer in Northern Ireland.

My guess is Jo shot Ryan. She's been riddled with guilt constantly and wants out. She clearly has a real 'liking for Kate as well. |

I don't think the body was him. Would they not have wanted to clearly identify him? It was all night vision lenses and confusion. How could they not put the lights on when they found him? Thurwells alive....but then again, I dunno.  |

If we get an answer to who H is I don’t think there will be, Jed is a clever man going out on a high and making it a cult viewing programme would be a great legacy, on the flip I think if we don’t get an answer to H story I might combust.

It’s Jed’s baby if the end point from series 1 was the revealing of the 4 and we find out who the 4th man (or woman) is then I don’t think there will be another series. If we don’t find out then you can bet your bottom dollar there will be a series 7 |

I love this thread! Been reading and keeping up with all of the above.
The finale seemed a bit dull & rushed but we understood where they were coming from with it being Buckells. Rather than the criminal mastermind at the very top, place it on the hands of an opportunistic idiot who couldn’t quite grasp the carnage he was causing.
We do think there will be another season or two, more a spin off as the ‘carry the fire’ section felt more like the main cast leaving.
What left us scratching our heads was Chloe’s lack of input & Chris Lomax being allowed to still run around without issue considering he put the paperwork through for Jo’s transfer but perhaps they will be a main players in the post Hastings, Kate & Steve era. |

He didn’t put the paperwork through, Kate was the second signature it was someone inside that faked it. The whole point of it was the institutional corruption is way bigger than just the 4 H’s |

It’s like when you find out who Keyser Souze is in the usual suspects! Buckels played a blinder, everyone thought he was stupid when in fact he was playing then all along! |

Agreed! Buckles is the scapegoat as my theory still s_ands that Carmichael is H and the pair of them are connected to Thurwell. I don't believe he's dead, that was all very convenient. I think there will be a 7th season as I really think there's more to come x |

I didn't think the ending was THAT bad. Unless H was one of the 3 main characters, nobody was ever going to be satisfied with how it ended. It could have been so much better but it was decent.
Buckells pulling a Keyser Soze was epic though. If they made him come across more sinister, it would have had more of an impact! |

The whole idea behind the ending was to point out that some things just never change - corruption will almost always take place, police officers will get away with things and greed will always be prevalent in society.
Exactly the type of things we the public always bemoan in real life. The bad guys always win and here they have too.
