There is a lot of Political Swingers these days...

If you hold off a few hours you'll see the usual SNP Bashing culprits joining in on the Gangbang.

Not sure why the mods never move these threads into politics section for a more adult and educated debate.

I’ve said this a few times... I’m sure fab created the political forum for that reason and I’m sure they used to remove any posted here in the past but I might be wrong. That’s not to say we shouldn’t have a good spectrum of subjects either

Find a politician or party that hasn’t lied or fiddled the books.

Free prescriptions, school meals and further education, those alone make me paying slightly more than our neighbours to the south happy.

I’m not a SNP or Sturgeon supporter.

"Sturgeon lies to parliament and blows 600k of our money and there’s concern this post is in the wrong section Wow"

If I can offer this... usually political threads degenerate into bickering. As I said earlier in the past this escalated to the degree admin created the political forum. It was to minimise negativity. Also it means those who wish to engage in political debate can do so. There will always be dissension as to how the site works but my opinion is (and it’s merely my opinion) if it’s politics, put it on the right forum. It’s not to say what you wish to discuss isn’t of interest OP

I find threads like this just creates animosity amongst other members.

Maybe that's why Admin have created a designated area for that discussion too keep it centralised under the one roof where its better moderated.

Celtic paid more than that for they Disco Lights

From the man who said this was in the wrong forum a completely irrelevant point. Two wrongs never right but this post is about Sturgeon lying and wasting tax payers money in an attempt to score a political point against an already discredited individual

The snp have done more for scotland in 10yrs than Labour or tories have done in 100yrs,I wonder how you will feel when you need to find nearly £30.000 to send your kids to uni or if any family member is sick and you need to spend £100s each month for prescriptions or childcare or free school meals or bridge tolls ect, because that will happen if ever snp are replaced

I've never heard any politician say we are a burden but I don't listen to every one either so maybe I missed it.

What resources do we have that could pay for another covid.

Pay furlough ect, . If we can do it , why won't the SNP put it on paper , show us the facts and figures , tell us the details . Answer our questions . Talk is cheap but actions speak louder than words.

I've heard many say we are a burden and they subsidies us,oil, gas, electricity, whisky, gin, gaming, forestry, water, sea fishing, salmon and shell fish and more ,as for covid and furlough we will do what every other country done and borrow it,we will pay many billions of what the uk borrowed, now if we are subsidied by Westminster why would they try so hard to keep us in the unequal union ?remember they wouldnt even subsidies a spare bedroom for the less well off,the snp do

What you say is true so since we have these things now , what more could she do by staying part of the union. What makes you so sure being independent that the new Scotland will be able to sustain the benefits you speak of . ?

Because we have so much resources and pay more than we get back to the treasury that we could do much more for everyone in our country, why do you think they are desperate to keep us in the unequal union if we are such a burden to them ?

I've never heard any politician say we are a burden but I don't listen to every one either so maybe I missed it.

What resources do we have that could pay for another covid.

Pay furlough ect, . If we can do it , why won't the SNP put it on paper , show us the facts and figures , tell us the details . Answer our questions . Talk is cheap but actions speak louder than words.

I've heard many say we are a burden and they subsidies us,oil, gas, electricity, whisky, gin, gaming, forestry, water, sea fishing, salmon and shell fish and more ,as for covid and furlough we will do what every other country done and borrow it,we will pay many billions of what the uk borrowed, now if we are subsidied by Westminster why would they try so hard to keep us in the unequal union ?remember they wouldnt even subsidies a spare bedroom for the less well off,the snp do "

So what has Wales got to offer, I don't see them chucking Wales out of the UK so kind of defeats your point that they only want Scotland to stay for our resources.

I will bite if there is no lying going on why have notes taken during meetings been destroyed notes that would leave a paper trail to the fm having previous knowledge of complaints about Mr Salmond around no when the fm claims no knowledge until April. Do you think you could make a decision that would possibly deeply affect hundreds of people knowing this, fully aware of all the facts but to live with the turmoil of it but you had to do it cos the alternative was much worse?

Could you survive every movement you made and letter of every word for every conversation which is then hyper analysed to the firection your eyes looked at on every waking moment of every day - which is then thrown back at you in the most conflicted version possible.

Could you live and retain your credibility for just 48 hours of this..

Now look at the first minister. So you honestly think your pause from twiddling gives you the credibility to make your criticism justified for those 2 seconds of your BBC news and Sunday post filled biased opinion stand as credible!

What damage? What utter skitter you talk. You’re the ‘non thinker’ here ‘thinking’ that continuing with the Westminster status quo is somehow not damaging to Scotland? Getting all excited about £500k of taxpayers money which is a drop in the ocean. Let’s check the news today…Tories spend £2.6m on renovations so they can hold ‘Whitehouse’ style briefings. Imagine if the FM had done that! You would have lost your shit and gone off about dictatorships and similar nonsense.

The 2015 General Election outcome in Scotland was historic, for several reasons: the SNP won a General Election in Scotland for the first time, it won almost all Scottish seats, and Labour did not win for the first time in half a century.

Ruth Davidson

Jackson Carlaw

2 Tory PMs

David Cameron

Theresa May

She has also won 5 straight elections:

2015 UK General Election

2016 Holyrood Election

2017 Scottish Council Elections

2017 UK General Election

2019 UK General Election

And has led YES to 21 straight polling majority for independence

When and IF she goes she’ll be replaced by my favourite politician of all time

thats some bending the facts if ever i saw them

the scottish first minister won UK general elections? she doesn’t even sit for a UK seat does she?

The 2015 General Election outcome in Scotland was historic, for several reasons: the SNP won a General Election in Scotland for the first time, it won almost all Scottish seats, and Labour did not win for the first time in half a century.

"

and you think thats a victory she can personally claim? one woman doesn’t make a party (that works both ways in terms of victory and failures) and you can’t win an election you don’t even stand in

The Scottish Government answers the question “If Scotland votes No, will there be another referendum on independence at a later date?”

The Scottish Government’s response was: “The Edinburgh Agreement states that a referendum must be held by the end of 2014. There is no arrangement in place for another referendum on independence.

“It is the view of the current Scottish Government that a referendum is a once-in-a-generation opportunity. This means that only a majority vote for Yes in 2014 would give certainty that Scotland will be independent.

this is direct from the edinburgh agreement that salmond and sturgeon both worded..and signed..so yes its there from they're own signed agreement and also included in the white paper...

Oh please no more politics......I am sick of listening and hearing the same BS. Have we ever been more divided as a nation? Families even split all over a question that has no definitive answer. I just wish it would all go away for a few years till i am too senile for it to bother me anymore.

Paragraph 18, It is agreed nothing in this report prevents Scotland becoming an independent country in the future should the people of Scotland so choose.

The white paper mentioned it, as an opinion widely held from across the political spectrum. That's not a promise, policy or agreement. Ever. & the EA literally says we can revisit the matter in future if we wish.

Oh well that puts HF66 in the same boat as Nicola who is equally unsure of dates and times. It happens to us all but then again we are not under oath accused of plotting to put a man in prison

I’ll make it clearer for you that DD wouldn’t say it outside parliament for a reason. Have any idea why that would be ?

If you seriously think that DD “anonymous” I won’t say anything outside the confines of this house is detrimental to anything indy related you’re mistaken.

"Thought I just watched it on the news for those with no blinkers to watch "

The establishment propaganda clearing working overdrive on the yoons.

You might want to familiarise yourself with parliamentary privilege.

DD went to negotiate brexit and got his arse handed to him.

He’s fuck all to do with Scotland.
